I finished the game yesterday and got ''the bad ending'' (don't judge me). And while it utterly broke my heart it was still a fantastic ending. It's a bittersweet experience for sure, but the fact that it still felt like MY Geralts end and that I didn't fell bad about it blew me away in a weird way. Unlike the renegade/paragon system and endings in ME this just felt organic and plausible in the context of the gameworld.
