Aw this thread is so wholesome I love it!

I’ll say my piece. I joined GB premium back in 2016 after seeing a Mario Party Party unlock, it was during a rough time of my life. And being a part of this community, seeing the streams and all has helped me to feel less lonely. The crew are all genuinely wonderful people, and the content has been pretty damn consistent even in quarantine.

With regards to what Alex said about “just taking up space”, I hope he doesn’t really feel that way. His voice has been a big part of why I love GB, and the way he able to articulate his opinions is unique among a lot of people in games podcasting. Even when I disagree with him, his observations usually make some kind of point that I’d overlooked or not considered.

But yeah, love this web site and will stick around as long as it’s here :)

sounds like a nice pickup in a sale. I do love racing games on Switch and have some nostalgia, but the price is just a tad too steep. glad to hear they did it justice. what I’d really like is a racer revenge port, that game had some really fun tracks.

@fjor: Dan's streams have been a godsend. I still watch a couple GB videos a week as well as the podcasts (Hot Spot revival is probably my favorite of the quarantine content), but I really like what Dan's been up to as well.

Back on topic, I miss UPF more than traditional quick looks honestly. It was a regular part of my weekly routine to watch that and not having it sucks :(

Absolutely not. I’m playing on a launch PS4 and some of the textures just look awful. I get that it’s old hardware, but that’s why I would’ve preferred to play on PC or at least my Xbox One X. Maybe waiting a year was the right call for me after all, it’s clear that the base model Ps4 just isn’t up to the task of running new games well anymore.

Glad to hear that it gets better after the slums though, I’m still early on and really like the gameplay/story thus far. It’s just some of the muddy textures really bum me out.

Finished it last night. It was so good that I back burnered FFVII remake, which was was my most anticipated game of the year. The ending is so much better than vanilla, and the experience as a whole was really streamlined.

I put 120 into it and it just flew by, though parts of it were a bit of a slog I kinda did that to myself by going for the platinum and grinding in mementos more than I had to.

Played through Dragon Age 1 and 2 for the first time, and started Inquisition. But now with everything coming out I’ve finished Doom Eternal and my first playthrough of RE3, and am working my way through Persona 5 Royal.

On top of that I’ve started another playthrough of Majora’s Mask on 3DS, after hearing Abby talk about it on that Link to the Past stream.

I hope so too, and will be casting a vote for him next Tuesday to help ensure that he wins the nomination.

Bionic Commando, with a new female playable character. Maybe have Spencer also be playable and have missions with each of them DMC5 style. I think that series still has potential regardless of what they do though. Using a robotic arm to swing from stuff is such a pure concept that they could do a lot with.
