Because unlocking said unlockables is one of the core pieces to the gameplay. I would hate to jump into Diablo III with the best armor and the best spell ranks just because a company decided to hold off on resetting data. It's a stupid move and Capcom is stupid for doing it. Theres no real argument here other than Capcom made a really really bad move.

You win, csoup. Is it really so hard to put a 'delete' save button? Or trust the player not to delete saves when they want to keep re-trying levels? Capcom's argument doesn't hold up, imo.

I fell in love with AC2 cause of the setting, I stayed for ACB for the almost 'one more turn'-ish gameplay.

In many ways, I would've been fine if they stopped with Brotherhood, and go with a new setting and character, but hey, at least they're not in Italy anymore.

It's part of the business, but it could be worse.

There are a few reasons why this may in fact be the case (working in enthusiast press doesn't pay much, for instance, or maybe it's hard to negotiate with a hardcore gaming/manbaby gamer lifestyle (joking on that one...partially), but I'm going Occam's Razor and saying it's just a reflection of society as a whole these days, where people get married later and later in life, and have kids later as well, if at all. If you asked me 15 years ago, I'd've thought I'd have 2 kids by now. But at 30, I'm glad I'm with someone who doesn't want kids, and that someone proudly proclaiming that her biggest problem some nights is a variation of "whether [she] should play Tekken or Alice: Madness Returns".

Right down to the controller with a screen...

I like some of the functionality of the controller, and I'm sure Nintendo will know HOW to use it...I just can't see why I'd want a Wii U over what I have now, and what Sony/MS will have in the not-so-distant future (doesn't help that Nintendo games don't appeal to me).

Would be more surprised if it does tank sales-wise, though.

I believe in miracles...where you from? You sexy thing...

Maybe not, but this is a personal choice. I was at a dude's 18th bday party and we went to a strip club. Nasty mongrel gave him a lap dance to this song.

The only bad side when I do this is when I'm slowly drifting off, and someone says something that makes me laugh.

Yes. It really freaks out haircutters here in the UK, as it something I picked up in Canada and not really huge here.

I'd be lying if I said graphics weren't important to me. I used to one of those 'graphics don't matter' cultists back in the late 90s, then I watched a dev diary of Splinter Cell, explaining that because the systems were powerful now, they can use lighting and such to affect gameplay, as it did in Thief. After that, I tempered a bit. And then I started swinging to the other side more as time went on; not to say that graphics are the only thing, but I've admittedly become snobbier over the years; PlayStation/N64-era games that I played in the mid-aiughts started to hurt my eyes, I played all of 20 minutes of Twilight Princess, while I completed Wind Waker (more of an art direction thing than graphics, admittedly) and while I'm not the biggest technophile in the world, I still appreciate a good hi-def set up, with kick ass games to show it off, from Super Stardust HD to Street Fighter IV to Red Dead.

/And I, for one, welcome our new facial texture overlords from the teams that brought you LA Noire

I'm guessing that's one of the reasons GB does their scoring from 1 (0) to 5 stars. So much easier to discern the difference b/w a 3 to a 4 or a 5, whereas what the hell is the significant difference between an 8.8 and a 9.0, except for the fact that a lot of people only look at the numbers in front of the decimal.
