Top Games of 2015

2015 has come and gone so now it's time to take a look at the games that came out this year that I actually got to play. I didn't get to play many of the huge games like Witcher 3 and Metal Gear 5 so those aren't here. Same with a lot of the great indie titles.

This list is actually flipped so that when you start reading it the last pick is actually the first. Kinda takes the suspense out of the whole thing if you start at #1 no?

List items

  • Now this was a quite a surprise I guess but at the same time this had to happen. Ever since endless runners flooded the Phones the first thing that came to mind is that Sonic had to have one. Sonic Runners is fun and keeps it simple. Even the jumping is a ton of fun.

  • It's about as basic as you can get with a Yu Gi Oh game and thats the way I like them. No walking around and crap just menus and duels. The only thing I hate is that I have no idea if I own all the cards in a certain "pack".

  • For some reason if I try to add the Ultimate Edition it freaks out. Anyway of course I am gonna be talking about that one here. I got this for cheaper than usual so thats a plus I guess but man it still kicks a lot of ass.

  • Last Resident Evil game I played was Resident Evil 5 and I had a blast playing it. Yeah people hated that it wasn't "true" survival horror but I enjoyed it a lot. This one plays a lot like it so don't expext it to go back to the series roots. For the rest of us who enjoy killing zombies and upgrading equipment this game has your back.

I would really like to go back and try out the Raid mode and finish the bonus chapters but I had my fill for now with the Campaign.

  • This game is a ton of fun. I never thought I could love a shooter like this one.

  • A very solid metroid style game with an amazing art style. The controls a bit floaty for my taste and after I installed Windows 10 it got kinda funky.

  • For some reason I didn't LOVE this game. Its great but it does get kinda frustrating at times. The final boss is terribly designed for example. The feel of the game is great though. Jumping and shooting feels very smooth and the guns are all awesome. I just wish the enemies weren't so lame. I also got stuck quite a bit and that led to some more frustration.

  • Had a lot of fun with this one and hope to still do. The campaign was a ton on fun with enough variety to keep me going. Yes the Master Chief stuff was more interesting but as far as the story goes it was enough. Not a bad ending like Halo 2. Need to play some more multiplayer.

  • I was never a Tomb Raider fan but ever since 2013's Tomb Raider that changed. It just plays and looks incredible. The story so far is kinda stupid so far but it's all about the platforming, hunting and the combat and that is all excellent.

  • Super cute platformer. It's such a relaxing and enjoyable game. After playing some more I think I like this a lot more. It's deceptively challenging. Getting through the stages is easy but finding all the other bonus things now that is where this game shines. Best Yoshi game since Mario World 2 though I know that's not saying much.

After searching my feelings I know this game is just the best and most fun I had all year. The presentation and gameplay are just flawless.
