@bsstephan: I had a slim model and it was my only vita. You dont need an oled vita to notice that there is something wrong with it. If you have a TV, monitor, laptop, tablet, phone, or gaming handheld other than the vita, that is enough to notice that the slim vita doesn't display colors properly.

honestly if the slim model was the only model of vita, I might still have sold it and simply decide the vita wasn't worth it. It totally killes any enthusiasm I have for any system if I have to see everything through a filter. Imagine if Playstation 5 was revealed and its the most advanced hardware ever even blowing PC out of the water, but all the games had this effect: https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2731/4505911148_ee0bd1504a.jpg That's pretty much what slim vita feels like. If you see a human character in a game in the slim vita, their skin tone is actually yellow. What the hell.

Wait this means no more Sonic games? What a joke if you own Sonic IP and cannot profit on it. I knew Sega wasn't exactly handling the series well but this is just awesome level of incompetence.

Also wasn't Nintendo promised 3 exclusive Sonic games for WiiU? It got 2 bad games, shouldn't there be a third? :p

Its easily worth $200 IMO and everyone should get one. Mind you I paid less than $110 for mine. I buy things used because I'm poor.

But whatever you do, don't get the slim model no matter how cheap it is. You will regret it.

No!! Get the old one! I had a slim model vita and the screen was horrible. I ended buying a fat vita within like 2 days. Don't get the slim unless you want to permanently see everything in urine-o-vision.

"Why are games looked down upon more so than other media like books, television, and movies?" Actually I would argue that all of those things are a waste of time. Well, some nonfiction books may be an expection, but lately I'm starting to have second thoughts about that. Some types of media are culturally elevated so that people pretend they're not a waste of time/money even though they absolutely are.

It's funny how people on this forum would tell me that random encounters are mostly a thing of the past, yet lately everywhere I go I hear people constantly talk about games with random encounters. Final Fantasy. Persona. Criminal Girls Invite Only. Bravely it-can-be-disabled Default. People are even picking up old "gems" like Lost Odyssey. It is hardly "a thing of the past" like some people make it out to be. Not to mention FFX/X-2 HD remasters are coming to PS4. A mistake made over 10 years ago in 2001 gets to be repeated again and again throughout all time. It's like those Anita Sarkeesian videos are saying about old sexist games like Double Dragon, but replace sexism with an even bigger issue. We have to stop this. Tell your friends not to buy random encounter games! The sooner they do this the sooner they will go away.

To repeat what I said to someone about Lost Odyssey. "Too bad someone would take a dump on such a beautiful story by adding random encounters to it."

Should I get Monster Monpiece? It is on flash sale for $9.

Logitech wireless PS2 controller is awesome. Just putting it out there in case you can get one cheap. Turns PS2 into a 7th gen system basically. That said, some people like this controller, others don't. Dunno why. =)

I guess I'm just one of those few crazy people who doesn't care about exclusives. For me the fact the Vita is a handheld gives it all the exclusivity it needs. Of course there are some franchises/concepts that personally interest me regardless of platform, but that's not the same as counting games simply because they are exclusive.

That said, I only just got a Vita but about half of the games I'm interested in are exclusive: Unit 13 (which is on flash sale atm btw), CoD, Resistance, Killzone, Katamari, Super Monkey Ball... I also ordered Soul Sacrifice which just so happens to be exclusive. Monster Monpiece is also in the flash sale (and is an exclusive), wondering if I want that game or not.

Eshop doesn't sell DS games. Not sure if paypal is accepted. 3DS has only one Castlevania game, Mirror of Fate, but it can play the DS Castlevanias through backwards compatibility. I would recommend a Vita even though I had only had mine for a week. Vita sports a much better screen resolution, symmetrical controls, is more ergonomic than 3DS, and can charge using USB without having to buy an extra cable. If you do get a Vita however, get a 1000 model because the slim model has a screen is incredibly bad. But if you get a 3DS, I personally don't recommend the XL model since it's heavy, uncomfortable, and ugly.

It's a kickstarter, you practically donated money to the guy in the vain hopes he will make your product. And this is Molyneux so it's not like his backers didn't see it coming. He says he would be outraged himself if he was a backer. But looking at it the opposite way, any of his backers might have been hard pressed to fulfill the kickstarter if they were in his shoes.

Kickstartrs are weird when I think about it. There's no carrot and stick. You already have the money and have no deadline to meet. And apparently now I've become a republican. :p
