Just got home today, after being up there for 10 hours. Tore my heart out though because she kept begging us not to leave the hospital, but what you gonna do.
I'll actually be able to get some sleep tonight now that that step is finally over.
As for the spots on the scan, we still won't know those for a while, and I'm just not letting myself think/worry about it. I'll take it as it comes. I can't, one step at a time.
As my brother and I came into my moms room yesterday, the doctor's assistant was talking to her about her bone scan, saying they found some legions in areas, but they are unsure what they are until the biopsy results come in probably next week. So, we get to be on pins and needles for a while longer, but...
The good news, is my mom is undergoing hip surgery today, around noon is the estimated time, so we are going to be up there for her and hoping for the best. With this surgery, the doctor said she should be up and walking by the weekend, and soon after she should be home (probably early next week).
While the first news is scary, I'm really excited at the proposition of having my mom back home.
Just gotta keep faith.
I'll update again later tonight after her surgery and let you know how it went.
Well, after I posted that yesterday, I went and got about 2 hours of sleep before getting woke up and told that my mom was going to be going into surgery. So we went down, turns out that wasn't true though (at the waiting hospital? who would have guessed!).
The doctor came by and said the xrays showed abnormality in the bone where it was fractured and want to do a bone scan and a biopsy to see whats going on. It could turn out to be absolutely nothing, or it could turn out to be a number of different things including......cancer.
So yeah, I broke down, Family's stressin'.
Since then though, we went back home later on, prayed my heart out, and I just have to have faith and let God handle things.
It's 9:43am, and I just got home after spending a good 9 hours in the emergency room with my mom.
She fell and broke her hip.....
The worst part is in all that time, she STILL hasn't seen the main doctor guy. It took 5 hours for her to get called to go back and get an x-ray, and another 4 was just us sitting there waiting. I'm sure the staff was doing the absolute best they can, but that is just RIDICULOUS. They tossed her in a wheelchair and just made her wait, while people with fucking headaches and shit were going first. How is that justice?
I'm not here to dismantle the integrity of our health care workers, and I need DRASTIC amounts of sleep before my sanity explodes into a steaming pile of goat cheese.
But yeah, she's gotta remain in that hospital, and surgery is an option, but she's thinking strongly against that.
Ah I'd talk more but I want to cut wood like a motherfucker.
So yeah, I got into that due to my support of the community or something (I signed up an account like a month ago and did nothing else :O).
I never thought they could make a world war 2 game that I could enjoy, but this one is pretty fun. Yeah, it feels like Call of Duty 4 with a world war 2 mod, but still, it's enjoyable. Has some new perks, change of weaponry (for better and worse, but not too bad actually), and the maps in the beta aren't anything I'd expect from a world war 2 game (huge contrast from Call of Duty 2, for instance). Overall, this is a pretty cool thing to bide my time until games I want to purchase come out.
Is one going to be World at War? Nah, but I'll make sure to enjoy the beta none-the-less.
So I have enough to get two games like I said I wanted (excellent), now all I have to do is decide what I want.
I think I'll just keep the names secret until I get them (due to changing of my mind and what not), so look out for the impending blogs when I pick them up.
