Thanks for the feedback. I've decided to play DAO do you guys think I have enough time to finish at least one play through before DA 2 releases?

Let me begin by saying that I had never played Dragon Age before, in fact I didn't know much about it other than it was made by BioWare. It wasn't until this week that my girlfriends brother stayed over for a few days and downloaded the Dragon Age 2 demo on the 360. Saw him play for a few minutes then I played, now I'm thinking of buying the game. Now my real question is if I should play Dragon Age first before buying 2 or if I can just start fresh from 2? 
 
Are there story elements I might miss by not playing DAO?

I think I'll start with the grass type this time around.

Well got gold on the second race of the Historic Cup with the  Lamborghini Countach LP400 but just couldn't make it beyond 3rd on the Deep Forest Raceway, the other cars just muscle me out of the way by the third lap. I'm going to give the Historic Cup a break and try the Like the Wind with a ZR1.

I'm currently trying to finish off the Expert series on A-spec but I'm having a bit of a problem with 2 events. Historic Racing Car Cup and Gran Turismo All-Stars. For those who have finished the events it would be great if I could get some tips. Like cars, tuning, etc. Thanks.
