@Green_Incarnate: I've never played this game before. In the beginning, If I wasn't LPing it, I probably would've quit. But I stuck through, and as I get deeper I'm starting to really like it. The characters are great, even if the voice work isn't always awesome.
Yes, I would love one. I got stuck on lenus when I was a kid (Lenus effin' sucks!), but I man did I play the hell out of these games. I know that this is probably not going to happen... but STILL! ^.^
I would even like just an hd-rerelease, with improved graphics and controls. Also, better voice work. Those cut-scenes I think still hold up (faces aside), but not the voice acting in the cut-scenes. Zieg's voice is some really bad voice acting. Though I will always love the voice for the attacks in battle. DOUBLE-SLASH!
Nice review! I agree with all of the faults, it has not aged well at all, but I share the LoD love. I wish there was enough support for a new one or a graphical re-do, with voice work. But alas, I do not think there is a chance in hell. :(
I'd also say that Legend of Dragoon is a game that definitely would make a list like this. Maybe it was just me, but that last boss fight was unbelievable. Melbu Frahma is no joke. It's like you say, it's almost unfair how difficult bosses like that are.
I'm doing a run of Star Ocean... And is it really that bad? How soon to the end does it start? Do you suggest anything to get prepared for it? Man that's scary. I'm comparatively not good at games to the amount of time I spend. :p
Here's the next part of my Star Ocean Let's Play. I had audio problems with this next batch, so I apologize. Should I keep posting these? Should I post the first and go from there?
According to a Kotaku story, Jason West and Vince Zampella are paying for the lawsuit themselves. Activision is attempting to delay the case. Is this because they're trying to wait out the two? That's what it seems, but I don't want to just point fingers at Activision. Does someone have a better insight on this?
