Did I accidentally stumble on to Kotaku by mistake? I thought this kind of politically correct mewling was more appropriate for the Gawker family of sites. When did we become a community of such puritan sissies?

@DEMONOLOGY_24: +1 to you, sir! Playing through the original now. It could definitely use a remake.

@Masha2932: Thanks for this. You saved me a bunch of frustration.

Would it be helpful if Americans complete the survey based on crude stereotypes? For example, I believe UK readers probably want ads for tea and protection against street rioters, but probably don't need ads for toothpaste or good food. You won't get this kind of ill-informed assistance if you exclude non-UK participants.

@StingingVelvet: I'm with you on this. The side missions in AC 1 were all at least related to the story. I was less crazy about "random race mission against thief X" or "killing this totally unrelated character" side missions, and I didn't care much for the "Assassin Tycoon" game in revelations.

What I found interesting is the concept of Darknet and what it could possibly be used to do for pre-release testing.  Surely it could be used to help testers more accurately pinpoint problem areas and bugs?  Dark Energy Digital should license it out and make some money off of that.
Exactly what I was thinking. They should get out of the game business and get in to the testing business. This platform for feedback is quite cool. The only problem is that it's probably really locked into their engine.

I have to mention   Pirates: The Legend of Black Kat. Which has a pretty good early implementation of boob physics, plus a decent combination of Zelda-esque adventure and Naval warfare. Not a huge follower of the genre, though. So I may be overselling this.

If they have an accurate way to model the spread of the black plague, this is a day one purchase for me!
