Well, I won't say where I am in the story since I don't want to spoil anything but after a certin part of the story I was running across the Wasteland and suddenly I came across something I've never seen before, a Deathclaw. The thing was, it had bairly any heatlh. I shot it once with my minigun and it just dropped.
Than, I came across the "Deathclaw Santuary" thinking "oh shit, this is going to be hard". All of a sudden, i put my crosshair on the first of the 3... it fucking flys straight up into the air... and it just never came down. Targerted on the 2nd one, it flies away to. Same for the third. I'm just looking into the sky. My jaw dropped. So I'm jsut wondering are Deathclaws randomly suppose to fly up into the sky and never come back or am I just horribly lucky?
"I used to check out OXM when I was young and really stupid. Don't do that, big mistake. Are you looking for a general gaming magazine or a specific platform magazine?"
I'm just looking for a general game magazine. I think magazines for speicific platforms tend to rate games higher than they actually deserve. I wan't to have the most unbias reviews and such.
Recently I've been looking into getting a subscription to a game magazine. I know some people would find this a waste of money but I like having all that info all in one book. I use to have a subscription to Gameinformer but I'm finding things from Gamestop very hard to trust. What magazine should I subscribe to? Also, do you know of any magazine companies that give out frebies (like some use to give out demo discs and such).
Not being able to use you're own character, have to stay on the same screen at all times, possibility of you're world being fucked into oblivion... I'll pass.
To be honest, I never saw the appeal of Half Life either. I played both Half Life and the sequel and they were fun. I had a good time playing them. I never saw anything too amazing about it. Maybe it was huge because when it first came out the Havok and Steam engines were relatively new and exciting but now-a-days it seems every game has them. Half Life just seems like the perfect average shooter. It has all the aspects a decent shooter should have but nothing too revolutionary besides a gravity gun which is pretty neat. I never thought the story was all that good and I could really care less about most of the characters (with the exception of Dr. Kliener). I don't really feel any emotion twords Gordon Freeman or anything. I just see it as a game with the only objective being to reach the next checkpoint. Call me a bastard, tell me I don't know anything about games (which if you think that based off of this post, you need to get real). To be honest, I had alot more fun inGarry's Mod 10 than in the actual Half Life 2. It just never did anything new for me, the level designs were meh, and the character development isn't all that great. Alyx sure but... who really gives a fuck about Barney?
