"fr33lanc3r said:But if God could see that by including free will, there would be evil choices and actions, then it would go against Omnibenevolence. Or God might not have known, then it would go against his Omniscience."Metaphysics, and existentialism, Nietzsche said that the only way a god could exist is if the following five criterion were met:The existence of evil by no means leads to the logic that God does not exist. Man was given the gift of free will, and therefore chooses to do evil on their own. God may be all-knowing, but if he interferes, he/she/it is going against free will. Man is left to deal with the consequences of his own doing. Evil acts lead to evil outcomes."
1. They must be Omniscient (all knowing)
2. They must be Omnipresent (all present/all seeing)
3. They must be Omnibenevolent (Kind without fault)
4. .................
5. PROFIT!
Now the issue with any god being in existence is thus:
- There is evil, and evil perpetrates that god either doesn't know about evil or created it and therefore isn't completely kind without fault. Therefore since there is evil, god doesn't exist.
Anyway, if god did exist, I'd ask him why he created evil, and why he put the fruit in the garden of eden, he knew there would be temptation, and so in that effect he must have not been Omnibenevolent."
Again, I digress....
"God, can you actually make a rock so large you cannot lift it?"
