I agree that Bad Boys, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, The Island all sucked, but Transformers was great, maybe you are too hyper focused on the credits to enjoy it.

I loved the original, but I couldn't enjoy 2.  Maybe I should try it again.  I prefer the multiplayer in Killzone 2 which is TFesque.

Surprised more people aren't mentioning Rock Band.    Mainly for the introduction of the complete band thing, Guitar Hero did eventually jump on board though.

Aside from that... I'd give Wii Sports a nod.

SF4 is a definite classic imo, best fighter game ever as far as I'm concerned, and I previously didn't think Street Fighter was the best fighting game series.

I'll give the new EA NHL games a nod too, the skill stick changed everything.  I think this will be regarded with fond memories from hockey fans for years to come, not much room for improvement from here.

Apart from that... I dunno, there's a lot of good games, but what would people be talking about years from now?  Mass Effect maybe, though I wouldn't give it the nod if we were talking about gameplay alone.  Peggle is the new tetris.  I don't like or play WOW, but it's certainly an entity at this point.    In terms of FPS' the closest thing to innovation in the genre was Shadowrun, and well... that bombed, it will probably be a classic in my mind though.

Well your taste in Transformers matches mine, so maybe I'll dig Gi-Joe too, but man, does everything I've seen so far look like shit.

Though one thing that surprised me was that all the early reviews were praising Gi-Joe, though now that the movie is out the reviews are going the other way... not that I actually take any stock in what reviewers say, but still the early reviews caught me off guard.

My plan right now is to see District 9, then sneak into Gi-Joe.

The skits need to go.  The only time I chuckle at something he does over and over again anymore is when he gets to a hard part or odd part and takes a swig of beer.  I would tend to agree with the people that it's more that his act is stale.  I still get surprised after seeing a terrible episode then seeing people flip out and quote every lame curse he says like he just wrote Shakespeare's next great play.   It's like he can be boring for 10 minutes, but if he throws is a "ass-cock-donkey-fuck" at the end then that's all he needs.

Btw I will at least give him credit in that as stale as he is, most of the other shit on the internet didn't have to reach stale to get bad.

I like the game but I'm horrible at Multiplayer, and the bots are too easy to play against.  I wish in Horde bots replaced quitters, because it seems noone stays for that long, which kills the mode.  In short, it's still fun, but a little too frustrating for me to play it that much.
