Integrating Gamespot is going to destroy the last bastion of a worthy site on the net. Bringing people over from gamespot is going to suck. Doing anything with gamespot is going to suck. There is a reason GB had the community it had, it is because everyone fucking hates gamespot.

Just the other day I was commenting to someone about how Giantbomb is the only site on the internet worth anything. It is a bastion, it is an oasis in a fucking dessert of garbage, ad ridden, news-less, entertainment-less sites.

Everything ends....ok sure. This is ending because of Money. Great. At least admit to it sucking and try not to spin it into a good thing.

Well...this is horrible news.

I looked forward to GB. I supported GB. I hate Gamespot and everything behind Gamespot.

I feel like this is going to go down a road that is going to suck....major suckage.....

I guess it all comes down to money sooner or later. Very disappointed this had to happen. If any garbage leaks in like the crap over at Gamespot.......well that will be the end. I will not be a Gamespot member....so that's that.

A weird quick look is better then no quick look at all. I don't care about precision vido capture, in fact goofy un-profession videos are usually the most fun. Just have someone hold a cam and do an unbox/over the shoulder playthrough of some release games.

This shits been like this since the first airing, I watched it for probably 10 minutes and realized what it was, and haven't watched it since.

You know what though, I would say it is all their fault creating a false perception of videogamers....but then I log into XBOXLive in a Call of Duty or Madden multiplayer match, and hear the masses. Trash, immature, lowlife buzzards. So maybe Spike TV does know the target audience and what they would find entertaining....

Only played it for 6 hours before reviewing it? Only 6 hours? To review a BATTLEFIELD game....

I could write a review on it after 5 minutes of playtime. Hell I could write a review on it just based on the the back of the box, and my experience with the rest of the Battlefield games alone...

Seriously, get over it. Reviews are pointless anyway. 7.5/10 is probably a perfect score for the game. I love Battlefield, it is great, I always have, more then other FPS multi-player games of the same genre. But B3 is just that, another Battlefield game, nothing revolutionary or magical. Personally I'd probably give it an 8, if I were forced to start "rating games on an imaginary number system".

You either have well written, well articulated, detailed reviews/articles about a game, or you don't. That is what matters and what determines if someones job was successful or not. Not some bogus number attached to it. That is called an 'opinion', and why in the hell 'opinions' ever started being shared with numbers attached to them for the internet to see, and more importantly cared about, is beyond me.

I don't know when game reviews drifted away from 'Just a cool article to read about a game, maybe seeing some game-play footage, and heck I'm just grateful someone out there in the World is writing stuff about video-games', and entered into 'This reviewer better justify his review because I disagree and I think it should be this score so that means everyone should think it should be this score and if they don't I'm going to complain because I need to complain'....

Guess what, if a reviewer wants to give a game a 2/10 just because he said "F it", who cares? As long as the article is detailed. As long as the article describes the game, describes how it feels, plays, executes. As long as you get some footage, and you leave the article knowing 'most' of the things you wanted to know about the game. As long as you get those things, the article served it's purpose.

What else are you expecting to get out of a review? Or a quick look? Or just an article? Purchase justification? No. Gaming articles were never about that, and shouldn't be. Figure that one out on your own. Do you read a review because in your mind you are playing a game of Pick 5 and your score better patch up to the one the reviewer gives? I'd hope not.

Personally I think GB should get out of the business of doing reviews. I know I never even bother reading their reviews. I come here for everything else the community offers. The business seemed to start with this Quick Look theory, and that's the bread and butter. Stop reviewing games. Continue 'Looking' at games, quick or long. Let the viewer make his/her own reviews based on that.
