so we all know FF13 is linear. is that a bad thing? hell no it keeps things tightly paced and focused. however when asked why the didnt include any villages square replied that it would be far too difficult and take far too long to do that given todays graphics standards. my response to this is a resounding what the fuck. take a look at what uncharted 2 did with the tibetan village you vist later in the game, or even the big city based on kathmandu. like hell you cant render a nice looking village. look at mass effect 1 and 2. 1 had the citadel, 2 had omega. the citadel being a pristine utopian paradise and omega being a filthy sleazy hellhole. all these titles i mentioned pulled off what square couldnt ANNNNNNND didnt take half a decade to make. i say stop making excuse and get with the times.
i'd like to point out that metacritic doesnt remove low scores. they kept anthony fucking birches ignorant non review of bound in blood (20/100!! WTF YOU STUPID DOUCHE) when the review preceding it was a 60, ironically giant bombs review.
im an absolute sucker for a good western videogame. so i thought i might try to start a list of the best ones ive played, with people adding some they've enjoyed so i and other can check them out. GUN Call of juarez Call of juarez bound in blood red dead revolver
its a scant list but i enjoyed all of them. so anyone else who can think of some good western games by all means add them.
@Peanut: my 11000 odd points begs to differ, but i got those for playing alot of games, not the same 5 over and over. Rebirth1337: see its so easy to pull the opinion argument, but thats a get out of jail free card. people use that to justify stupid or just plain wrong things they've said because theres some stupid stigma that you cant argue with an "opinion" and that an "opinion" is beyond challenge. i say: FUCK. THAT.
