@Hailinel: ive now had time to read this thread through and i have to say you sir are an elitist jackass. you seem to think everyones opinion is below you and you're some untouchable prophet. i really do wonder how this thread would have turned out if you werent here. my opinion isnt coming from an uniformed place, i grew up playing japanese games. it was obvious ten years ago they had the market cornered. look at the ps1 era, square and konami were making a killing. now look at what we have, awful non rpgs such as infinite undiscovery and last remnant. souless moneymaking byproducts. and its a FACT the japanese games industry is in decline. now obviously thats our fault and we deserved to be punished presumably by you. and to clarify against all the AMERICA SUX bullshit thats been happening i said WESTERN. that counts europe and australia too.

@marioncobretti: good, we're in agreeance on something. also i'd like to clarify my issue with mgs4 wasnt with the talkies. by god it needed all that to explain everything. my issue was when you just watch fights and cant perform them. such as whenever raiden was on the screen. i would have liked to play as raiden or even meryl in parts instead of watching them fight it out. then again people will argue its snakes game so no raiden for you but a man can dream.
well i look at games such as bayonetta, mgs4 or devil may crys and think, "gee it'd be great if i could actually be playing this cutscene" then the cutscene ends and the gameplay isnt nearly as compelling or exciting. i play something like uncharted 2, call of duty 4 or heavy rain and stay in control the whole time and think "gee it sure is great this isnt a pre-rendered cutscene." i also recall hideo kojima being grossly offended when naughty dog stated uncharted 2 wasnt using all the ps3s full power and they could do more, when he claims mgs4 in fact used the ps3 to its fullest potential. full potential meaning loading times, small areas, mandotory installs between chapters, cutscenes in place of action far too often. and dont get me started on the various turds sonic team have been unleashing (pun intended) for the past decade.
when they're given 5 years and shit tone of money i think im not unreasonable. plus look at their current output compared to the whats being made on the other side of the world and you'll see nothing but stagnation.also given you have an anime character as your avatar i think you're opinions arent really valid.
