@blannir: I'm going to have to side with @mems1224on this one. Girl Meets World is a lot better than Fuller House. It's just as goofy as the first couple of seasons of Boy Meets World but doesn't sacrifice the old characters. The only old character on that show that I thought was awkward was the Angela cameo.
I finished the season although after the 5th episode it was a battle. The reunion episode was pretty alright. After that the highlights of the season are definitely Stephanie and Kimmy. They both seemed to fall back into the characters with ease. DJ just seems fake as hell and she sounds surprised in EVERY line. Steve had his moments too but he's looking a bit rough. The two older kids weren't terrible either but damn that younger boy needs to find the volume knob haha.
I didn't like that they forced the 3 characters into the archetypes of the 3 guys from the original series. You can literally plug them into the old roles: out of touch parent, musical aunt/uncle, goofy friend the kids call aunt/uncle. At least Stephanie had the foundations of being musical in the original series and Kimmy was already dorky/goofy. DJ in the old show didn't seem like someone who would lose touch with what was popular.
Season 2 will probably be one of those that I watch if I'm stuck at home sick or it sucks outside and there's nothing else new to watch on Netflix.
@ericsmith: You would hope that the WWE would take the right stuff away from 196 (if they take anything at all) but instead of letting the guys more freedom to sell matches without being so scripted, they'll change Becky's theme to Roar and make Ziggler get corn rows.
Part of me wants to do the Gamestop deal and get the $100 trade in credit for my 3DSXL for the N3DSXL while its on sale for $175. An upgrade for $75 could be alright. But I don't NEED it and it would basically be for Earthbound and Zelda.
@sessh: From the bits I've seen of her on SNL the lady playing the subway worker/forth member is that character in every skit.
@sammo21: Completely agree. I always thought a reboot should have been more akin to Extreme Ghostbusters. I'm not a fan of the cast or the director. I thought Bridesmaids was terrible so I was pre-disposed to not like this. The humor just doesn't fall in line with the rest of the Ghostbusters franchise.
@sammo21: There was a reddit post recently that said 3 trailers were tested for this movie.
1) made it pretty clear the cameos from the original cast were as strangers
2) the trailer was vague and didn't explain if it was a reboot or sequel
3) the cameos were as the original characters and sony is trying to backtrack and say this is a sequel because fans aren't happy with it/the film isn't good and they're trying to bank on it being a surprise sequel to make them money.
Granted it was reddit and was based on a video that Sony removed from youtube so take that with some salt
