Where did I ever say Halo was the FPS to bring jet-packs? I do find it ironic that Halo: Reach has jet-packs and now Killzone 3 is revealed a few months later with jet-packs. Killzone, the game originally dubbed to be a "Halo Killer". "
i guess I'm not seeing the irony.  Sorry.  Maybe if Tribes had never existed, I would.

"  I can't help but find it funny that it has jet-packs just like Halo: Reach. I'm 100% confident that the jet-packs were in KZ3 long before Halo: Reach was ever shown, but I still find it kind of funny. Yo, we got jet-packs too! "

" @Callik: I wouldn't notice whether the color palette was different (which depends on time of day and weather anyway), but I would notice if the framerate sucked. The only time I saw a major slowdown was the glitch mentioned on this forum which exists on the xbox.  I also noticed slight slowdown when the harddrive light was blinking and the game was preloading stuff when I entered a town.  Otherwise, it's smooth.  YMMV. "
plus...I guess no one uses full RGB for the PS3?  It really bumps up the color in a game.  I sometimes use it but, for instance, in Killzone 2 it makes everything too dark (being a dark game to begin with).

Vid shows Overeem, Aoki, King Mo, and  Joachim Hansen

Looks much more impressive than it did in the prior videos that I've seen.  The submission stuff, to me, looks way more appealing than the way UFC Undisputed does it.  I really can't stand the "shine" mechanic in that game (plus it breaks controllers!).  I also love the way you advance position....using button timing to advance and also counter.  That relates way more to real life MMA but it might suck if someone is really good at countering and you are never able to advance position....I assume the window to counter will get smaller once the guy gets beat up.

Too bad most people will dismiss this game because of the lack of UFC logo on the box when there are plenty of quality fighters outside the organization.  I can already assume a lot of the fighters will be in the UFC someday Jacare, for instance, and of cousre Jake Shields may already be on his way.  Then you got guys like Overeem who like the ability to fight K1 in Japan, thus, why he doesn't want to be in the UFC even tho he is easily a top 10 heavyweight.

" @handlas: Is that the map set within the 'fortress' white building area? thats the only area the games chugged for me so far! "

YES!  It's a pretty small MP map but when a good amount of people are playing with you it starts to get pretty rough.  That's the only one I've had issues with.

Gametrailers comparison is up now, also.  For people that want to try to see a difference between the 2 versions.  I, personally, can barely see any difference at all.  I'm sure on your big HDTV you may be able to see more of a difference but it looks so negligible to me that I don't see why people care.

Looking at these videos, however, make me question who took the screenshots in the original post and where they got them from.  Because they depict the PS3 version to be inferior in a few ways which don't come across in the videos.  Like when they say "There're some significant loss in foliage making some epic scene on 360 looking down right pathetic on PS3."  It's true from their screenshots but when you watch the side by side video comparison ... it is completely untrue.
Another thing they complain about in the screenshots is how the PS3 version's trees are much worse looking.  They do a side by side comparison in the video of a tree and it looks pretty much identical....

But I guess people that want to say one version is better than the other will just point to the screenshots and ignore the videos (usually what happens).

well I have teh PS3 version and it seems perfectly fine.  There is one map in MP that it feels like the framerate is sluggish.  Singleplayer, free roam, etc....I haven't noticed any framerate issues.

As for the IGN comparison video...they look nearly identical in my eyes so....either my eyes are broken or I don't have the fanboy goggles on.  The screenshots in the original post DO look worse on PS3 (such as less grass and shrubbery) but I don't see any of that present in the video comparison.  Back of the box on PS3 says the game run sin 720p....now I dunno how that stuff works so I'm just reading what it says it runs in.

Man, that sucks.  I tried taking out the gang members at Pike's Ridge solo but every time I cleared an area and activated the "Plant Bomb" prompt, my character just stood there.  Maybe I needed two or more people for that, I don't know. "
nah you can plant them by yourself.  Indeed, must of been a bug.

PS3 version has it's share of bugs as well.  I've only had one occur that was significant where my game just quit out by itself.  I was playing, the screen went black, and I was back at the PS3 menu.  Only happened once.

More-so there are bugs in MP with your character completely disappearing for no apparent reason in free roam.  Gotta quit out of the game and join again to fix it it seems.

so is there anyway to join a posse ....forever?

I've joined several posses while playing in a game and we just do quests together and then when we leave...that's it...no more of that posse.  I permanent posse would be nice because more than half the time if you try to join up with people they just want to do their own thing and not play with you.  Or, like my experience earlier today, I did a quest with a dood while we weren't in a posse and then he proceeded to kill me when we finished it.
