I like several elements of it, but the latest I have seen relies a lot more on the weird and psicotropic aesthetics and story beats, which I don't really care much...
I liked the spectacle of Rising, its self-awareness and lack of smugness was refreshing, but the gameplay didn't make it for me. Parry spamming makes the gameplay a joke, until you encounter a boss, and the controls are not made for some of the finer stunts some bosses require.
The combat mechanics are definitely the weakest of the Platinum games of late...
They always have potential, and I like that they often go to settings most developers never touch, but many times that makes me felt doubly disappointed at the games; one, because many of them are bad, and two, because they are a waste of really cool settings.
Unity was an example of that. French Revolution is a really great setting for an AC game, and Ubisoft is a French based company, they should have some level of pride in showing the setting the best they could. Yet the game is a boring mess...
Besides, the fact it is yearly makes it feel a lot less special when a new AC is announced.
So, no... I am not interested in the next AC. Maybe if a lot of people start talking about it as if it were surprisingly good I may give it a chance when on sale, but I will not move a finger when its released.
Wine is the best alternative. There are some good, relatively cheap bottles that taste good without you feeling like you are drinking your salary, but its availability really depends on where you live.
I was never into whiskey. I guess most of the stuff I drank was really rough...
Yes. The games after 3 cop out of the story and are pretty much unrelated to the events of Desmond. So, you can play Black Flag without ever worrying about loosing some important part of the lore...
In terms of games, I think Black Flag is the only ones of the new ones that is worth playing. Haven't tried China yet, so it might be interesting, but the other "true" AC games are not good.
I am assuming you are referring to Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies series against the similarly formatted Mickey Mouse Sound Cartoons/Silly Symphonies, right? Everything from the golden age, excluding movies and made for TV specials...
In that case, Looney Tunes beats them, hands down. The Goofy series are the few things on Disney's library that are on par with Looney Tunes.
