The new GotG were available to play today on test center with some people getting their first look at Star-Lord, along with Gamor, Drax, and Groot as team ups. Some new info starting hitting up the MH forums and sub-reddit forums that I thought was interesting. From what it looks like all three of the team ups are being priced at 750 g a pop and possibly 600 es. If you were interested in picking up 2 of the new team up heroes it might be a better idea to just grab the GotG team up pack if you have the money. You're basically saving yourself a hero by grabbing it for the limited time it is available.

Statement from Gamespot

http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2014-07-30-layoffs-at-gamespot

A GameSpot representative acknowledged the cuts, saying, "GameSpot did some shifting of internal resources as part of our long-term content and user engagement strategy. A few positions were impacted.

Translation in my mind, we are shifting to primarily being a video site.

Sounds about right.

Also, that statement from a GameSpot representative is horrendously robotic and bereft of any sympathy for those affected. Talk like a human being for God's sake.

Humanity and business don't match. It's been proven time and time again. Assholes and business however.. one to one, perfect match.

At the end of the day it's a business. Sucks people had to lose their jobs over it, hopefully they'll bounce back on their feet real soon.

Wait so you're telling me renting games is a thing again? Kinda weird how everything has come full circle but the only difference is the switch up from physical to digital. At the end of the day we're not really paying the subscription to own the games just to rent them for a certain length of time.

Today's 10 day of Guardian of the Galaxy promo is 25% off Team-up Heroes (except for Domino) & Pets. Good deal especially if you have any g's laying around from buying any costumes or heroes earlier.

I'd say depends on where you're at, if you spent a hefty chunk of time leveling your character and progressing through most of the storyline I couldn't see why you would go back unless you wanted to see a different race or class. If you were still early level and didn't enjoy the class you were playing as it wouldn't hurt to jump into a new character. Just for the record it's probably been about a month since I've last played gw2 but there have been countless times I've taken an extended break and could always jump back in again though I tend to play the game by myself and got xpadder hooked up to where I can play it as an action rpg with a 360 pad.

I made a pretty detail backstory of how Alex came from Russia with his wife Katchiana to start a new life in the states. Eventually I got two other people on board to go back to Russia and take back our lives after we were kidnapped and placed on the boat. The last two minutes after figuring out we couldn't leave we just stood near the water and watched the sunset together in peace.

Played about 2-3 hours so far and I've liked what I played. The starting area seems pretty crowded which is a good thing cause nothing kills an mmo for me then a pretty empty game. While it isn't the tightest of shooters it's competent enough that I've been having fun enough and haven't been overtly frustrated with the shooting. So far I've played around with the controls for the xbox 360 controller and it seems fine. I'll probably start playing this on the big screen in my living room with the controller in hand.
