This news hits hard; Ryan (and the rest of the guys here) have had a huge influence on my gaming career and life for 10 years now from Gamespot to here. I'll be pouring one out for Ryan tonight.
I'm still feeling my way around different builds. The fact that I can't use Ghost, Ninja, and Marathon together really irks me as I loved that combination in MW2. Still building up COD points to unlock them all.
Heart? The draw of the game is the online multiplayer. The single player while nice, is generally an afterthought. I will get this and have tons of fun playing it with my friends online. That's all I care about.
I'm not sure what the appeal of gaming the system is. It seems to me the quest system is supposed to be an interesting diversion and a way to track things that you've done. If everyone gets all of these quests illegitimately, what's the value?
" You also have to remember that kills earned via killstreaks no longer add towards your next killstreak reward. So for 11 kills with only conventional means I think its a pretty good one. And I think the name for killstreak-less game types are called 'barebones', I think it doesn't have perks as well. Never played it myself so don't quote me on that. "
That itself means that far fewer dogs will be seen. Which is a shame, I find kill streaks fun, and it's always a good time scouring the map for people camping for nukes. But I s'pose it's for the best.
