Hey Guys! We're finally back from Florida, and we've finally finished unpacking. Jamie and I have been working like mad at work to pay off our trip and our copious amount of useless purchases at the Oakley Store...Including my 100 dollar tactical vest.
As for gaming news, we've got INSANE news. In a fit of rage, and on the verge of destroying my Plastic Fender Strat guitar, I managed to complete "Flirtin' With Disaster" in Rock Band and nailed the Axe Assassin achievement for finishing the Guitar Solo Tour on Hard.
Jamie just turned on her XBOX for the first time last night to watch some Family Guy so she doesn't have any new updates...Yet!
I also picked up "The Beatles: Rock Band" for my mom and have gotten a little addicted to it. But not much.
Also, 2 nights ago my 16 year old Golden Retriever Jessi had to be put down. She died peacefully in our arms at 11:05 PM EST. I'll miss her.

This is our last update before our 2 week road trip to Florida. Bare with me as I have extreme food poisoning right now and I'm typing as I run back and forth from the toilet. Anyone who saw my posts on the Batman Arkham Asylum forums knows that I picked that up on Launch Day for a low low price =D Jamie and I did a 14 hour Marathon runthrough and got 100% of the Riddles and beat the game on Normal. I was amazed at how addicted I was the second I popped it in the drive. I'm currently at 84% completion without attempting any of the challenges.
As for any other gaming I played a few rounds of Battlefield Bad Company. No Bioshock Hard running yet, but maybe after we come back from Orlando.
Jamie has been too excited for Florida. So no updates on her end.

I haven't had any time to work on my Bioshock Brass Balls achievement and have only had a few minutes at a time to tinker on the XBOX. I had a close call with the red rings the other night during a lightning storm but everything worked itself out.

I also got to take a ride in my Uncle's new Ferrari 360 Spider. 0-100 in 3.8 Seconds. Tony Romo bought it for Jessica Simpson a while ago but apparently she didn't like the color. Here's some pics. I'll throw up the HQ ones in the next update. It's got a $60,000 Stereo System in it. :o)
Alright, another couple days have gone by and we've figured we might as well toss up another quick blog.
Jamie and I have been working like mad. I just finished a 3 day stint at the Hospital and didn't get to do much of anything gaming wise.
I did however finally spend some Microsoft Points. These are the first points I've bought and spent and I decided it would be a safe bet to blow them on Trials HD. I watched Jeff's QL and it totally got my hooked. I played the demo for at least 5 hours before picking up the full game.
As for that, the only other gaming I've done involves a little progress in BioShock on the Hard difficulty with Vita-Chambers turned off. I've just made it to "Arcadia" or the 3 section of BioShock. Working on the Brass Balls and Seriously Good At This achievements to complete 1100/1100 for BioShock.
Jamie's been playing a little bit of Left 4 Dead and Devil May Cry 4. She wants me to come help her get the Do Not Disturb achievement in L4D but I've been to exhaused to do a playthrough. She's on mIssion 4 on Human Difficulty in DMC4.
Together we played about an hour of Dead Space. Not accomplishing a whole lot but making a little more progress in the story. I'd like to just burn through the whole story but I've decided to wait for her...

So I saw Jeff's Quick Look showing us some footage from Trials HD and decided to grab the demo from the Marketplace.
I'm actually pretty impressed with the amount of content and the quality this game showed me in the short demo. The demo features 3 actual tracks as well as 2 mini-games.
Graphically the game looks great for an XBL Arcade title. With great dynamic lighting and great track detail it's nice to see every time you race.
The most important thing I found about this particular title was that I played it for 2 hours straight right off the bat. I was enthralled with grabbing all the gold medals (yea, yea I know, it's a demo) but I kept wanting to shave time off my total time.
I highly recommend this title to anyone who is even remotely thinking about it...
Just another quick update from the gaming front. Again, just a quiet update, we haven't been playing as much as we'd like. Florida Road Trip is only 18 days away now!

Anywho, she's at work again and I'm off today and tomorrow so at the moment I'm working on my Brass Balls runthrough of Bioshock on the 360. I also installed Civilization 3 on her home PC because she's been jonesing for some RTS style game for a while. If I get bored of getting my ass chewed up by Big Daddy's I'll play some Devil May Cry 4 or some GRAW 1 to nab some of those older achievements.
Here we are again, another update. A little bland this time. Jamie and I just got back from an awesome road trip to Toronto, Ontario, Canada (about 4 hours away from our home of Ottawa) where we hit up Canada's Highest and Fastest Rollercoaster (Behemoth). We stayed in the Hilton which was pretty swanky, and although it had a GameCube hooked up in the room, sadly, there was no 360.
So sorry if our update is exactly...Mind-blowing...
We only managed to play about 30 minute of Dead Space before our trip so we're only beginning to find out what happened on the USG Ishimura. She's been working ever since we got back so I've been dabbling in some "Dead Rising" and some "Devil May Cry 4".
I'll admit that I suck extremely at Dead Rising. Apparently my survivor management skills aren't up to snuff as I've had this game almost as long as I've had my XBOX and I can't for the life of me remember to save my game before I get my ass killed.
As for Devil May Cry 4 I've only hopped past Mission 1 and Mission 2. Just entering the castle at this moment but I think I'll go back to Dead Rising for now.

We did it! My girlfriend Jamie and I completed our first "co-op" run of Bioshock for the XBOX 360. She loved it and understood about 85% of what was going on so I'm excited about that. She ran out the next day and picked up "Dead Space" also for the XBOX 360 for our next run.
She got "Dead Space" for $19.99 at Wal-Mart and I picked up "Devil May Cry 4: Collector's Edition" with Animated Series Vol 1, Metal Case and Bonus DVD for 9.99$ also at Wal-Mart. All in all not a bad grab.
Anyways as far as achievements came this week we did fairly well. I managed to mop up almost all of the remaining BioShock achievements on our playthrough. I only have Brass Balls and Seriously Good At This remaining!

Alright I finally made a small bit of process in chewing my way through my 360 collection.
My girlfriend and I have been playing through Rock Band and BioShock. We're currently working on Hard Guitar mode for Rock Band and we're at (59/60) Songs completed in the Solo Tour. Molly Hatchet's "Flirtin' With Disaster" is the only thing that stands in our way....
As for BioShock we've just reached Olympus Heights and for those of you who have beaten the game you'll know we just waxed a major character. She apparently loves the story so I'm enjoying playing through it again.
I also got that last damn achievement for Fight Night Round 3. It's about damn time.
In my spare time I've been playing through my GF's copy of Bad Company.

So I did it. I decided when I was in EBGames here in Ottawa that I'd pick up the Prestige Edition. I laid down 20 bucks on the Pre-Order and am #2 in Ottawa on the List. Hopefully I'll get one :)
