Truly remarkable. I don't think I have ever played a game like this. Usually a game is either full of systems, or has a great story. This game has both. This was the most engrossed in a game I have been in years!

Metal Gear Solid V is the perfect stealth game. It so tightly designed and perfectly executed. Plus, it has enough of that Kojima charm to make it one of most memorable experiences of the year.

I thought after DSII last year i would be done with this type of game for a while. But Bloodborne does some great stuff to shake up the genre. And the Lovecraftian horror element was so well realized, it might be one of the most haunting games i have ever played.

For the first 30 hours, Xenoblade is an awesome MMO-like JRPG experience. And then, you get your Skell, which turns the game into an incredible mech game. Also, this has some gorgeous scenery, which is rare and much appreciated.

Fallout 4 continues down the recent Bethseda path of over over simplifying systems. But they also added many new systems on top to create what is maybe the most cohesive experience of this type.

So much has been said about Undertale at this point, I'm not sure what to add... But this game has a bro-skeleton that you can date, a murderous robot gameshow host, and many other incredible characters. And the soundtrack is phenomenal

Finally, after years of banging my head on this series, they have made an entry that i can play, understand, and enjoy. Plus, I have cats for companions, which is awesome.

I never thought I would have Destiny on my list again, it was quite a mess last year. However, the changes they made around The Taken King expansion not only fix a lot of last years issues, they add new depth I never expected.

I've been dreaming of a game like this since I was young. The fact that it exists is just amazing. And that it's so incredibly fun, well, that's just fantastic.

Splatoon has so much style, and everything about it is just "cool". And who could have expected Nintendo to make the best shooter of the year!
