Indeed. I tried searching her name afterward but her first/last is extremely common. She seems really nice but halfway through a gaming news roundup show hearing the cohost say they are really bad at games was ear-opening.

I would bet there is a segment she might be killer on but I really don’t know who she is or what she does.

I am 100% unsure how Grubb could live in Colorado for any number of years and not figure out there is a “Jeep culture”. For God’s sake, if Subaru didn’t exist it would be the official state car here. Stock, modified, lifted, overlander, crawler, blah blah blah people are VERY passionate about them things.

Sometimes Giant Bomb feels like you woke up halfway through a movie you were watching with friends but you fell asleep after 45 minutes. Nobody tells you that they switched movies while you were asleep, though, so you sit there sort of awkwardly wondering if you really missed something or if you’re stupid.

This content is 1,000% not for me but I don’t hate it; it just feels like the most non-sequitor possible and I have no idea where it came from.

This is really not quite what I expected from the initial footage. It feels like somebody played an adventure game and thought, "What if Giger?"

It's included in Game Pass but even so this is so slowly paced I think my brain may not be able to persist through it.

@konrad: I was wondering if anybody else heard that or if I have just had corrupted downloads for a couple weeks. It’s not unlistenable for me but it is pretty loud.

This never hit whatever network Pocketcasts is using, BTW. All other shows seem to have made it - I presume something with the re-upload gave it issues.

This much talk around kids, raising them, and Dan makes me nervous that “it” has happened or might soon happen and the Earth can only take so much abuse.

Somebody create a filter that makes Jan’s opening speech have Optimus Prime’s voice because that was pretty goddamn good IMO. I have suffered through a couple decades of “c’mon team, we got this!!” speeches in my career and almost nobody has had the heart he put into that.

I agree 100%. Even if somebody steals from a huge corporation like Kroger, there are still employees who face sanctions from managers who are under pressure to keep shrinkage as low as possible. It's worse when they steal from any kind of local store, where pressures are still there and the business can face real pressures from theft.

People think every single item is on like, a 50% profit margin. Talk to a manager at a local store and see how many items are actually in single digit profit margins and then decide if it's okay to steal a bunch of stuff. I used to race RC cars at a track that also had a shop. On a $300 kit he was making about $15-$30 profit. If he sold for more, people would just buy them online, and selling at that price at least got people in the doors to pay for race fees and maybe buy a handful of repair or upgrade parts. Somebody stealing a $20 part was probably putting him out anywhere from $12-$15.
