Nah, I loved the original trilogy, even 3. That world speaks to me so much I'm sure I'll get something out of the game. Now I may hold off until a price drop if it doesn't do so well.
I do like robots punching monsters, and would be fine with the human cheese if it didn't take up so much of the movie. Charlie Day and Ron Perlman got the only scenes I had any interest in that didn't have giant things getting the shit beat out of them. It almost seems like their lines were written by completely different people than the other human characters. But, I had a pretty fun time watching the flick so I would say I liked it well enough. Also Sword Deployed is my new favorite phrase.
Just stepped up from being a casual follower here to a hardcore-download-every-podcast-subscriber-stream-every-video-to-my-tv dude like 3 months ago, and this shit still hit me fucking hard. Didn't realize that I felt more for this crew than a casual viewer to entertainer relationship until Monday. Fuck.
Giantbomb has become a big part of my familys life over the past few months. Between the podcasts and videos I feel like Ryan spent a lot if time in our living room. My girlfriend and I feel like we lost one of our own friends. Our hearts go out to Ryans family at home and at giantbomb.
