Just so you know, your Xbox S will work with a G router. I have a buffalo G wireless router in my house which I have no reason to replace, and it's working great with the new xbox.
Did anyone post about LAN? I'm of the old school of thought that I enjoy being in the same room with the person I'm gaming with, instead of some random person over the internet I'll never see again, or my good buddy that lives 10 minutes away but we have to play online to get some multiplayer functions.
"We’ve heard that 60 per cent of [Microsoft’s] subscribers are principally on Live because of Call of Duty,” Kotick told FT. “We don’t really participate financially in that income stream. We would really like to be able to provide much more value to those millions of players playing on Live, but it’s not our network."
Translation: "They should be paying US to play! Not MS! Waaahhhh! Let's make an MMO!"
I love how these developers blame poor review scores for why their game doesn't sell. Maybe if you produce a game that people like.....you would...I don't know...receive a higher score? I think they all miss the days of NES gaming where you had to rely on a monthly magazine to get any insight into a game, so most people just plunked down $50 and bought games without reading reviews.
Lately the News tab only has one entry at the top for me, and no amount of reloading or reinstalling the app will let me see more than just one news item.
As much as the guys hate "gimmicks" (especially the 3D craze) on the podcasts, I'm very surprised they were so impressed with the MS presentation. I wonder what they would have said 10 minutes before the end of the conference before they were handed $300.
Regardless I will be getting the new box because mine actually died one week ago (convenient timing), but I'm not excited about Natal at all
