@porpoiseproblem: I think you may be giving a little too much away, friend. It'd be better if Vinny discovers some things on his own (maybe just suggest he play the piano after equipping the get the Carabosse "fairy" shard)
Personally, I just could not give a fuck about Halo and whether or not that series ever returns but I'm not going to sit there and say Halo has no lore. It just is not true.
Especially if you're gonna then go on about Destiny which was literally just glorified Halo leftovers to begin with.
I really wish Abby and (I would probably include Jeff in this too, to an extent) would be less reductive about things she isn't invested in or doesn't know anything about, because then she sometimes wonders why people get all up in arms over her comments.
It's never really what you say, even if people in comments can't quite articulate that distinction sometimes. It's always how you say it and the ways it comes across.
Which sometimes is really not great, it reminds me of listening to Dan from like 6+ years ago when he would be completely selfish and dismissive of everything. The amount he has grown over the years is actually pretty incredible considering how much worse he use to be.
Someone gets it. Thanks for pinpointing this for me: I always felt like there was something off about some of Abby's comments. I'm guessing that more experience will allow her to critically evaluate a piece of media that she may not be personally invested in, similar to how Dan has grown in that regard.
@kidman I agree somewhat - it may perhaps be due to feeling a need to project her opinion or simply an outsized personality, but it seemed Abby's voice was far more prominent than the others - even when they were talking over each other. I'm used to Jeff (and often Ben) having boisterous voices, but generally, there is good interplay between the gang playing off each other's goofs. Abby's interjections, aside from being loud, often stifled this - I'm down to hear her opinions, but a more collaborative conversation would be appreciated.
That distinctive voice actress is indubitably Cree Summer, who has had so many voice roles that it would be overkill to list them here. Notably, she voiced Penny from Inspector Gadget and Elmyra from Tiny Toon Adventures. I remember her as Freddie from A Different World. She is rather prolific in the VA scene it seems.
