I was just thinking this because at the corner store I had to pick between Coke, Pepsi, or Dr. Pepper, and I realized how much I don't like Coke or Pepsi.  Dr. Pepper is by no means my favourite soda, but at least it doesn't leave thick black sugary gunk on my teeth and tongue like Coke and Pepsi does (I always have to spit after drinking it).  Is anyone with me here, or is Coke or Pepsi actually a favourite for people?

I use coke with a lot of mixed drinks, but don't drink it usually.  I do like the taste of coke, but at this point I think it's more of an icon than anything with actual mind blowing taste.

I love the taste of both (maybe Pepsi more so because its sweeter) but i do realize it's not good at all in any way for health so i try to limit myself to drinking it once or twice a week. 
 
But yeah, your question is kind of too close-minded, there's millions that think its an awesome drink.

Coke is totally awesome, but then I'm Canadian and I hear it actually tastes totally different down in the states.

I avoid soda now.  High Fructose Corn Syrup + Acid + mystery ingredients =   : X
 
But I still agree!  Orange soda and Root beer taste so much better to me, they are like top tier and coke/pepsi is like noob tier.

i hate coke. love pepsi. however for cola i would rake RC any day.

Personally, I only like Pepsi of the two...and I pretty much only drink it with pizza or tacos.  Otherwise, I usually stick to Dr. Pepper, namely because my hometown is the birthplace of Dr. Pepper and we get the good shit here.  = D

coke kinda like alcohol, it tastes like shit and it causes health problems. but we still drink it. 
 
Dr pepper is winner.

My Favorite soda is Sprite. Coke is my second favorite. Pepsi is good too. They're all fine drinks. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's actually bad.

It goes well with food, so they serve it with resturants. Also I like the taste of pepsi, not coke. I think it's refreshing.

Dude, try Mexican Coke. It uses cane sugar and tastes awesome. No disgusting aftertaste.

I like coke from a soda fountain but not from a bottle or can.

Everyone has different tastes. Get used to it. I think root beer and alcoholic beverages tastes like crap. So what.

If you're in the US then most soft dranks have corn syzzurp in them. That is what leaves the sticky aftertaste. I seriously doubt that you've found Dr. Pepper that has sugar instead of syzzurp. And about Coke or Pepsi's flavor, well I disagree, especially about Coke, that shit is delish.

Coke's strange, but i love it. It tastes pretty good but the real appeal is how satisfying it is when ice cold. Like no other soft drink.

I spend the extra money to get coke with canesugar (in the glass bottles) because soda nowadays has HFCS.....more like garbage
