Some days I wonder if I am seeing Social Media do to Games Journalism what Napster did to the music industry. Sure the mechanisms are different but it all feels like we are past a point from which there is no return. I really hope not.

As an aside to this, if we could just force some accountability from people that make death threats, I think it would go a very long way towards actual discourse, but that doesn't seem like it will happen anytime soon either. Until that day this will not change. Extremists in any group will always destroy the credibility of the sane.

Tina is the best overall, but Torgue is by far the funniest one. Scarlett is decent and Hammerlock is a nice bonus if you got the season pass but is not all that great.

Truly terrible news. I feel really deeply saddened in a surprising way and can't even imagine what those of you that knew him on a real level are going through.

Me posting this 2500+ comments in shows that he reached a great many more people than he could ever meet and that we are all poorer for this loss in our own small way.

I am not sure that 1 and 2 would have the same impact because of the fact that no matter what you do most of the people from one are dead or gone by the end of three. What incentive do I now have to back Lily over Kenny? I was fairly neutral but with the knowledge that no matter what I do she won't be around there is no reason to curry favor with her.

That being said, I like the fact that things can go really bad and the only way to do that is to make definitive choices on the developer end. It stifles long term replay-ability but it makes for a more interesting ride the first time through.

This was originally announced for February of this year and was shifted to October (not surprisingly to be honest). I wonder if Fall next year is more realistic.

The old quote stands though..

"A late game is only late until it ships. A bad game is bad until the end of time." - Shigeru Miyamoto

I think I'll be watching Microsoft's on TV or I'm sure G4 will stream it too. I am not exactly a fan of Silverlight.

This game makes some bold choices in the way it was designed and that is bound to make some people not care for it.  That and it is very PC European in design.  It will either really work for most people or simply frustrate them.

The combat is way more about preparation than being the biggest bad-ass in the world (especially early on) and that can really rough until the gear and talents mitigate that.  I can't vouch for the digital versions, but the standard retail version comes with a full walk-through in addition to a manual that is actually really good about explaining things.  A lot of PC games made in Europe do not hold your hand like console games do.  They expect you to figure it out or do the leg work with the materials that they provide you.

I like being treated like an adult in my games and am tired of mandatory tutorials that treat me as if I have never seen a controller in my life.  Not everyone has the time and temperament for that and I can respect that  Being adult enough to accept that being spoon-fed every system in game isn't always the end of all enjoyment, also allows me to accept that someone not wanting to burn the extra calories this game requires (unless you put it on easy that is) is an acceptable position.  If he simply doesn't like it, so what as long as you did, right?  If he just does it for traffic and he's being disingenuous, don't give him the traffic.

I chose Roche at first because I wanted to help Flotsom before I left, but once I saw the company Roche keeps in Chapter 2 I reloaded a save right before I helped Roche and went with Iorveth.  This game is great about having shades of grey in every choice.
