Halo 3: ODST or Halo 3: Mombasa Noire 0

There are a lot of things I really liked about Halo 3: ODST, and there are a lot of things that bugged me about Halo 3: ODST.   That sentence should nicely sum up my review score. Spoiler Warning! This game is a Halo game.  What does this mean?   There will be a mission where you have to destroy a tank while on foot.   There will be a tank driving mission.   There will be points where you have to hold out against waves of enemies.   There will be lots and lots of grunts saying lots and lots ...

Well, I am back into racing games again 0

And that is a good thing.  I have always dibble dabbled in the racing genre, but I haven't really played a racing game in a long while.  The last racing game that held my attention was Gran Tourismo 4.  Countless hours were spent in my dorm room finishing races, upgrading cars, and unlocking new challenges.  It looks like I am about to open up that can o' worms again.  The only problem is that this time I don't have 2 roommates to help me play.  Forza 3 is just awesome.  It is well made, complet...

Frantic, fun, but frustrating. 0

There is so much I like about this game, but I hesitate to give it a 5 star rating.  The atmosphere that twisted pixel puts into their games always puts a smile on my face.  When you first load up the title screens, moving your cursor from option to option will string together tones into a song.  It is these little touches and attention to detail that make the game an inviting experience.  The platforming is actually pretty good, but sometimes it feels really unforgiving.  Now, I am no pro, but ...

It continues to be Sims (i.e. good) 0

This is pretty much exactly what you would expect for a Sims 3 game.  It is incrementally better than the Sims 2, and does some interesting things with how character's motivations effect your play.  Now, each Sim has a set of "wishes" and a lifetime wish that you need to fulfill.  It is the carrot on the stick that keeps you playing the game.  There are tons of customization options, and the game looks better than ever.. but it is still The Sims, so if you were never a fan, it won't convert you....

Great remake of a great game. 1

I loved the original game back when I played it, and it was very cool to get to replay through it again.  The ability to switch back to the old graphics is very fun to mess around with.  What more can be said?  It is an exact remake of one of the best adventure games around, so it is hard to review.  The new additions of art and voice acting add plenty of life to the game.  Definitely worth the 10 bucks to download....

Just plain fun 0

If I can think of one word to describe this game (excluding the words explosion, destruction, and awesome) it would be "fun".  There are so few games that realize how important it is to be fun, and this is one of them.  I have found myself just picking up the game from time to time to wreak havoc on the local EDF.  The game allows you to do this in many different ways.  I always felt kinda odd doing some of the missions though.... since many of them every very terrorist-esque in nature.  Blowing...

Excellent port of the crack-cocaine that is Peggle 0

My first experience with Peggle was on the PC.  It is still as awesome as it was there.  I would have given the PC version a 5/5, but this version loses a half point for being a simple port with few additions.  If you want to play Peggle, chances are you have already tried the game out before, so you know what you are getting into.  If you haven't played peggle before... try the demo.  The coolest part about the XBLA version are the new online modes.  I have had a blast playing with the Party an...
