Barney wasn't in episode 2. At all.

The gnome was not Barney. It was a god damn gnome. And I launched that little bastard into orbit do you have any idea how much of a pain in the ass it was to get that gnome through the entire game?

*sigh*

Find the Half-Life 2 cinematic mod. It's pretty amazing. They basically remade a huge amount of assets for the game but at a very high resolution. It's something like 2 gigs to download the whole thing, and I believe it's now Episode 2 compatible It adds music, sound effects, and a whole lot of other shit. There are many Alyx skins in there, several of which are completely or partially nude, along with a program you can use to set the skin.

Exactly. We were just discussing this here at the office, actually. While Jeff and Ryan said on the podcast that nothing is too inconsequential, there IS, actually a limit. If we allow a page for the G-Man's briefcase we should also allow pages for the G-Man's eyebrows and the G-Man's shoelaces and the G-Man's little-ball-of-transdimensional-lint-under-the-left-lapel-of-his-suit.

We've noticed! At the moment we've decided that they can be separate things. the other page has been renamed to Automated Sentry Gun, wherein all, well, automated sentry guns will go. Turreted weapons will go here, which happens to included automated sentry guns!

At least, that's our rationalization.

That's a shame. How did you know what the hell was going on in the beginning of Half-Life 2?

It's getting deleted in 5, 4, 3, well I already deleted it.

We spoke this over before I did it, of course.

The G-Man's briefcase has had absolutely no impact on any of the games. It's just a briefcase, as important to the series as his suit or his tie. This, in fact, is the first any of us have actually seen anyone point it out, ever. It's far too specific and far too inconsequential to have its own page. So it's gone! Sorry! I'm sure you'll all survive without it, though. ;)

The screens of Black Mesa Source make every Half-Life fan drool, I think. Unfortunately, they're a small team with no financial backing, so they can't work on it as if it was an actual job. I have a feeling Valve might hire those guys if they ever get the damn thing finished, but what Valve should do is throw their official support behind the project and pay those guys to finish it, because from the screenshots alone it's obviously worlds better than the practical joke that was Half-Life: Source.

Only Hugh Laurie is right for this role. His American accent would be perfect for Gordon's voice, and he looks just like him!

Of course, the far more important thing to consider is that there should never be a Half-Life movie. Ever.
