I think I'm going to skip this next generation of consoles. I don't really care about the exclusives or anything like that. Looking back on the exclusives from this past generation, there wasn't really anything that I wouldn't have been able to live without.

It may be hard to play PC games without an internet connection, but it's also hard to do anything on a PC without an internet connection. Computers should really have an internet connection.

Gamers were the main audience for this event, and as a long-time gamer who has never played a Call of Duty or Halo or Madden, it failed spectacularly in presenting anything of interest.

Duder, I'm not judging you or anything, but you should really give those games a shot. None of them are my favorite, but they are still experiences that you should have.

PS4 because I like video games more than TV, music, and sports. Also, I have a gaming PC and will still get a PS4. They're not mutually exclusive, guys.

For the purposes of the poll, they are.

I think that you can already make some sort of judgment based on the hardware alone, though. From what we've seen so far, they each offer features that could result in very different game experiences. Plus, today we saw sports, racing, and FPS games (and something else that was weird and vague). That's not a ton, but it's a start.

My wife: Did you hear? There was a tornado in Oklahoma.

Me: No way!

  1. The Princess Bride
  2. Labyrinth
  3. My Neighbor Totoro
  4. Jurassic Park
  5. Any Indiana Jones movie (except Crystal Skull - I forgot that one existed)
  6. Back to the Future 1 & 2
  7. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
  8. The Thing
  9. Billy Elliot
  10. Young Frankenstein
  11. Clerks
  12. Raising Arizona
  13. The Goonies
  14. Star Wars (original trilogy)
  15. Best in Show
  16. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
  17. O Brother, Where Art Thou?
  18. Jaws
  19. Shaun of the Dead
  20. Hot Fuzz
  21. RoboCop
  22. Starship Troopers

These aren't necessarily in any particular order, but the first several movies definitely deserve their place at the top of the list.

This should be the time of year when they are free to do the most time intensive kind of features possible, and instead, Brad plays DOTA and Ryan is... taking a nap somewhere or something.

I agree with most everything that you said, but, to be completely fair, Brad playing Dota is fucking awesome. Also, this is the only time of the year in which something like that could ever happen.
