@soulcake: Uh, I think you might be a bit confused about gendered words in languages then as Germanic languages have three genders; masculine, feminine and neutral, so if anything we have it more complex than French (or other Romantic languages) :P

In Norwegian the consoles would be masculine while just saying a game, without specifying which game it is, would be a neutral. Not sure that helps much for someone who is German though as German genders don't really fully match Norwegian :P

@dodobasse: I’m actually aware of that myself, I just use it to annoy them though. :p

Why I hate it? Because there is so *bleeping* much of it. I live in Norway and just tend to call it soccer to annoy a few of my British friends who are into it, but on tv here the sports news might as well just be called Soccer News as there's 90% soccer and maybe 10% other sports at times. It's also spread out across like 10 different channels because of national leagues, British leagues, German leagues, UEFA cup or whatever the hell all of those cups and leagues are called, so at any given point there is almost a guarantee that some regular show I want to watch is taken out because of some damn soccer game that has about zero relevance to any Norwegian other than some fringe fans.

I also find the fans and the players just obnoxious, at least here the players come across as primadonnas who roll over in pain as soon as a gust of wind hits them too hard in the chest before faking a limp off to the side if they don't get someone on the opposing team a yellow or red card from their obvious over acting.

So, yea, soccer is a sport that oversaturates everything the same way Nintendo oversaturated their Direct during E3 with Smash stuff. If you're not a fan of it you just end up getting, at best, annoyed by how bloody much there is of the crap.

Maybe not so much disappointed as just annoyed at how bloody much they felt they needed to show of Smash. I can't stand that series, the controls are utter garbage for a fighting game, but with how many people enjoy them I would not have minded at all if that was what they ended with as like a 5 minute segment or maybe even 10. Then it just kept going... and going.... and going... and going... I don't think I've ever felt mentally exhausted from a press conference or Direct before, but they sure did it with all that Smash :P All that stuff should have been left for the Treehouse stuff just after the Direct rather.

This was just announced at the PC gaming show. Yakuza 0 is up for pre-order right now, while Kiwami is coming soon.

Have to admit I had hoped it would maybe come to Xbox as well, but good that more people can get the chance to play this series now!

@efesell: I feel like it was the same date, but now that you mention it it might have been a week or two later. In any case it was near-simultaneous compared to what the Xbox version has turned out to be

@humanity@justin258: Nope, launched simultaneously on PS4 and PC so this is the first showing of Automata on the Xbox. Personally hoping for the first Nier to become backwards compatible on the One as well with this announcement, but will definitely be getting Automata again.

And I assume Square-Enix will announce more details about the same version being released on PS4 and PC at their conference.

Seems Square-Enix just announced that this is coming to the Xbox One as a downloadable only Become as Gods edition.

Nier: Automata comes out on Xbox One on 26th June 2018, Square Enix has announced.

Yoko Taro and Platinum's eccentric action RPG launches on Microsoft's console as the $49.99 Become As Gods edition, which is download only. It includes the base game, the 3C3C1D119440927 expansion DLC, the Grimoire Weiss Pod, Retro Red Pod skin, Retro Grey Pod skin, Cardboard Pod skin and the Machine Lifeform Mask accessory.

I absolutely love the game myself, so will be buying it for a third time on Xbox just to show the crazy genius of Yoko Taro some more love!

I did a trip to both countries a few years ago, and one thing I'd personally really recommend is to at least go to Gruyere and visit Chateau St. Germain where the HR Giger museum is. It's a small medieval village where he bought a chateau and all his stuff is exhibited, ranging from Alien and Dune to ELP and even the more lascivious artwork Giger did. Can also get some really good fondue and raclette at some of the restaurants, plus a bar that is modeled like the inside of an Alien lair.
