Best of 2009
The best games of 2009 in my opinion! Looking back, overall I'd have to say this was a down year for me. The drop off after the top few games is dramatic.

I'm one of those few that loved the first one and so this game was magical for me.

Tough tough choice between my top three games, this could have easily been my number one. Stealth whenever I could, threw down when I had to. I loved stalking guys and the stealth challenges were crazy fun.

Single player only for me but I always enjoy the ride!

Classic game that I recommend to everyone young and old.

It's a JRPG, which means I give it longer than most people. And once these have their hooks in me I feel the need to play them nonstop. I enjoyed it very much.

Big fan of the cartoon and while frustrating at time I felt like such a badass playing this game it had to rank up there for me.

Despite being universally panned, I am a sucker for stealth and stabbing fools never gets old for me.

I loved the hub world and not being master chef.

Huh? Again, crazy action game that made me feel like a badass. Much like Afro Samurai or Batman I felt like I was playing that character. This game just isn't as good as those!

Riddick is cool. Stealth made this one rise in my list, but graphically I'm late to the party since it was a re-release of an older game.

Everyone knows this is a weird RPG FPS mix, well there was a enough RPG to keep me interested but as soon as the leveling stopped. Coop made this game, without it I never would have gotten into it.

I realize it sounds stupid, but this Gears of War clone was awesome. I loved rolling around with my partner screaming dumb stuff. And a curse button? Awesome for those down times or frustrating moments.

Another piss poor game that I loved. Bending bullets really worked for me and after my first play through and I got to play as the fat lady. Hello, that was so cool watching her take core on doorway and just darting around. It made me with there were more big girls in games. No seriously, and I can't think of another game that ever made me want that before!

I never finished this game and burned out pretty quickly, but those first 8 hours or so before it just became a horrible grind were soooo much fun I had to include this title.

I never played the original and so this was a new experience for me. Turns out I like this type of game, or at least this one.

I was loving this game in the beginning, but after my first season and I started seeing the same tracks and races it stopped for me. That was probably 30-40 hours in though and thanks to my friend betting me I couldn't get gold stars on all the races it became 150 hours. I can't say I have played any other game that much this year.

So fun to go back to old school platformers, reminds me of the good old days.

Still need to play and rank this one, it has the potential to make the list!
