@liquiddragon: Yeah I think that's a good point. Even though your happy feelings toward a game you have nostalgia for still lingers, actually playing it may leave a bad taste in your mouth since we've moved forward to much since then. As far as it being exploiting to put out older games again and again, I think when you start charging as much as Nintendo does for something like and SNES game download, that's pretty exploitative. Especially since there are much easier and less expensive ways of going about playing those old games. I don't necessarily think it's completely wrong for these old games to be put out again, but they should be way cheaper.

After Austin tweeted about this topic I felt compelled to write something since I had been wanting to for awhile anyways. It's been a few years since I wrote a gaming article, hope I'm not too rusty!
