West, and it's not really close.

East would more "easily" transition into a sketch comedy group since they've done more goofy character stuff, but West would be the BETTER sketch comedy group - that is, if they wanted to do something like that.

Mildly sad yet another tradition was gone, but most likely everyone would just do their own presentations individually around the same time period.

Worst part about it would be losing a lot of pretty solid GB content. Everything between a podcast held on a porn set to Xavier Woods tossing Alex off the set was because of E3.

Maybe not *better* but on par with the book was Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The differences between the movie and the Who Censored Roger Rabbit? book are extreme. I actually kind of found myself hating every character in the story besides Eddie when it came to the book. There is some dark stuff in that story. Not at all what I was expecting when I read the book after seeing the movie.

Both well worth your time.

Man I love this game. I hope they don't fuck it up with a ton of microtransactions and pay-to-win crap.

The non-DZ stuff should be pretty fun with friends based on that doctor extraction mission, especially setting it to harder difficulty.

DZ was just outstanding to me - whether solo or with friends, not to mention two very different experiences. Solo is incredibly tense and there were times where I'd run for a full block or two and hide to get away from a few (or in some cases, one unseen) rogue agents. It's also really cool when you run across one or two randoms and just create a makeshift group. Even without mics it wasn't uncommon to suddenly be working together with strangers and watching each others' back. Felt survivalist without becoming a Day Z clone which is literally the last thing I want this game to be.

Working with a group of friends in DZ is rad too. I didn't get to do it as much as I would have liked over the weekend, but you feel pretty empowered in a crew of 3 or 4 guys. If we knew there were one or two guys sitting by an extraction area picking off players already weak from fending off CPU enemies, we'd send a guy in to extract as bait to lure them out. Whether they killed our guy or not, we'd swarm on them immediately and they stood no chance.

I am not a pre-ordering kinda guy for the vast majority of games, but I preordered since I know I'm going to buy on day one anyway. I realize I'm tempting disaster by doing so...just hope THE CLANCE doesn't let us down.

I was listening to the old podcasts, and something was mentioned on the very podcast when the crew got together after Ryan Davis's death (July 09, 2013 episode).

Jeff reminisced of the one time Ryan and himself spent an all-nighter in a hotel room furiously writing and rewriting the script. I think it was for Attack Of the Show? The story mentions Jeff, Ryan, Carrie, and Bethany (I think?) writing and filming segments, to which it sounded like they were given carte blanche on whatever they wanted.

I could be completely wrong on this

I think that was actually for Cinematech on G4, around the time when G4 was all low-budget shows with ads for nothing but Pringles since it was their only sponsor (I kind of loved G4 back then). Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Brutal Legend was amazing

Dang, thought no one would have mentioned that yet. But agreed. I don't know that it tops some of the more common answers, but it was reeeeeal good.

Rock was dying out there, huh? Yeah, I'm sure the crowd was just about 10 seconds away from chanting "boring" and leaving for the bathroom before New Day showed up with what was one of their weakest promos ever. Since they got good, anyway.

Random discovery on the Network, via friends and I going through Nitros/WCW PPVs in order:

I never noticed at the time, but for someone who I never thought had much of a "great" period, Lex Luger in late 95 - early 96 is GREAT. Guy is built like a monster, but is a total wuss and sleazebag idiot. Luger during the opening of the 3/18/96 Nitro is one of the funniest things I've ever seen in wrestling.

Edit - A-ha. Observe.

Disregarding the ridiculous fight in front if him is gold. Trying to shoo Jimmy Hart away at the end so he can pose (and not blow his cover) is, as well.

Not to mention a few weeks prior, this exchange:

Luger (after blindly accepting a street fight with LoD on Sting's behalf): I'm from Chicago, but I don't know what a Chicago Street Fight is.

Sting: What?!

Luger (in full "duh" mode): I don't know what a Chicago Street Fight is!

Sting (exasperated): WHY DON'T YOU GO BOUNCE YOUR PECS IN THE MIRROR AND THINK ABOUT IT!?! ::storms off::

I actually bought a decent laptop so I could play some of the stuff not coming to consoles (be it "anytime soon" or "ever"). It's nice to have the option but I still use my console significantly more. I can't say I'm really disappointed with the console - just kind of annoyed with the games and the lack of stuff that floors me. I don't know if the 360 just spoiled me or what, but 2 years + into the cycle on THAT console it seems like we were more ahead than we are in the equivalent spot in this generation.
