I can't remember the exact context, but on an older podcast Jeff mentions saying different site names over and over again to find one that did not sound dumb no matter how many times he said it. So unless i am completley mistaken it has no real context. It's not named after anyone or anything or any event. Its just a name that sounded good at the time.

I use Antenna pod almost exclusively for all the giant bomb stuff. If you have spotify there are tons of podcasts there for streaming. As my provider doesn't count spotify traffic towards my cap it's great having most of my podcasts available without having to wait to download at home.

I really enjoyed it. As someone who loved the Obliteration game mode in BF4 but could never find enough people to play a solid game with I think it's kind of great. Also the biggest problem with BF4 (3, 2.. all of them) in my opinion was missing all your transport options and being stuck in the middle of nowhere while things were going on half a kilometre away. The smaller maps meant I was never more then a minute away from doing something, and the amount of smaller vehicles blowing up and being replaced quickly never meant I was stuck at the base for long. It would need to be on par with the amount of content in BF4 for me to buy it tho, I wonder how many different cities you could do before it gets boring.

Devastating. It's hard to guess how much this has effected me. Terrible way for (Australian) the day to start. I don't even feel like going to work anymore. He will be missed.

I miss Raven Software. Not what they are now. Thier Jedi Knight games were the best I have ever played. It is a crying shame what they have been reduced to now.

Eternal Darkness, played, and watched, did not finish. I still have Dark Souls that I have not opened yet. The one I feel mostly guilty for is The Lost Vikings on the SNES. Me and my brothers got to the final level.... Then they both moved away and I promised them I would not finish it without them. Now I kinda regret that.

Thinking about asking my girlfriend to marry me soon. It's a hard choice though. My case is a little different (been together for 3 years, in the same country at the same time for one year total). Even though I want to marry her, there are things (cultural, and personal) that keep me from pulling the trigger right now (awful way to put it, only thing that comes to mind). Maybe when I see her next year (first time in 7 months) I will feel differently.

A lot of my friends are in long term relationships with no plans for marriage, including my brother, who is just about to have a child, so it is clearly not a required part of any relationship, does not change how I feel about it.

Lord of the Rings - Conquest. Easily the worst way I have spent $100. And I am a degenerate gambler.

Oh wow. I was born in Alexandria hills. Don't live in that part of Brisbane any more and its aaages away from where I live. Massive road trips are pretty awesome in Australia, but depending on where you want to go (If you are doing the touristy/backpacker thing for your holiday). It may be financially more feasible to use domestic airlines such as Jetstar to travel around a bit. Petrol is pretty expensive and Australia is a huge country.

I have relatives living in outback QLD and it would take $300-$400 in petrol alone to drive there... or $67-$90 to fly to a nearby town and rent a car / hitch out there (not that I would recommend doing that either). What places in Australia would you like to visit on your holiday?
