If you really want them back. At Sony's blog or something there is a vote going on. And having them back for sites like GB is one of the things you can vote on. If someone would kindly toss the link up here.
" I honestly don't see why Sony wouldn't allow this. Doesn't that kind of defeat the whole purpose of trophies? "
Probably of the metadata that you get of them: Like how many people played game X that day and for launch titles you can see if the game is more popular on PS3 or 360. Still facts are still true even if you tell them or not. Comes out eventually. Then again I think it has to do with how Asian companies work. I mean most people would tell you not to announce a new product when your other new product is just to be released. Still Nintendo doesn't seem a problem with it.
@WinterSnowblind: Hopefully people will get it out their system within a week or two. Equally, I hope the crew learns from these thread spams for when the new quests go out.
" I question if this thread was made for quests, cause this clearly has been brought up several times before "
Yeah, but the poster obviously hasn't been here too long, and could easily jusy not know, it's not like this isn't a valid topic, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

Sony didn't "ask them to remove it". Sony doesn't have any way for 3rd party sited to pull the data, unlike Steam, WoW and Live. GiantBomb and other sites that track trophy data all had to find a roundabout way to pull this data from your trophy list, that's publicly visible. Unfortunately for whatever reason, GB's implementation of this system had several problems, with some games not showing (since oddly, some games just don't show up in your public profile unless you're loged on) and others had their trophies mixed up (you still had the right amount of trophies, but had the wrong ones listed as locked and unlocked.) GB contacted Sony in an attempt to get some clues on how to fix this problem, and Sony just copy-pasted a reply, that they don't support trophy tracking by other sites, so they won't help them. No trophies was better then broken trophies aparently.
In any case, if anyone cares about trophies, and even if you don't, it would be nice if you went over to the PlayStation blog and voted up this suggestion.
Playfire has this feature so there shouldn't be any problem to get a trophy card here. The only downside is that I have to manually update the card at playstation.com in order for playfire to be able to update their card.
I'd like to vote over at the playstation blog, but i'm maybe too stupid for that. There are buttons and comments and numbers, but i don't find the right button to push.
Most sites use the UK Playstation servers for feeding trophy data into them.
I discovered recently though, that PS3Trophies.com uses data from the US Playstation site, so maybe Sony has lessened their grip on trophy data. Wouldn't hurt to try asking them again.
