    Browsing through the games list
Man, there are some strange games in the GiantBomb database. There are literary thousands of games I've never heard of.

I've been browsing through a part of the list so far and it is a trip down memory lane in a way. I've found some old games I played a lot back in the days. Boot Camp (or Combat School as it was named in Sweden), California Games, Skate or Die, Zaxxon, Deja Vu, Barbarian,  and so on. The content all of the users is submitting is just awesome.

A masterpiece

The story begins exactly a 100 years after the great wolf Shiranui and the fearsome warrior Nagi defeat the evil Orochi. Once again has Nippon been overrun by evil forces and now it is up to you to defeat the legions of evil.

You play the part of Amaterasu, a god and reincarnation of Shiranui. With the help of the celestial brush and your companion Issun you set out to find the 12 animal gods, learn the divine brush techniques and defeat evil.

Along the way you get to meet some hillarious and fun characters as well as learning new fighting techniques. The game is not thaty hard but the art style and the characters make it nothing but fun ti play it. There are a lot of side quests that will keep you occupied for quite some time if you want to do it all.

The actual adventure seem to be influenced by Zelda games and it is a classic fight between good and evil. The way you use the brush to solve puzzles and give life back to Nippon is a new experience, for me anyway.

The graphics are compelling and the sound is good as well. The control are smooth and works just fine. For the most part you control Amatersu with your left stick and the camera with the right. You have a button to control the brush. The learning curve is 0-30 minutes. As I said is the difficulty not that hard even though some of the boss fights can be quite challenging, at least until you figure out how to attack the boss.

Okami is a game I strongly recommend anyone who like Zelda, is interested in japanese mythology or just want to have a great time playing a game you easily can play for 50+ hours.
