@waffles13: No idea, I know I was invaded more as I moved into NG+ and I don't see anything on Dark Souls 2 Wikidot wiki about it carrying over. If it does and you can't absolve it after a NG+... Wow... They really stacked this game and perhaps not in the best or most obvious ways.

@waffles13: Sin should reset after you NG+ officially. As far as I know, this mechanic has not changed between games and does not follow you to eternity.

I may buy it just to do those starting levels again, but Last of Us was not a game I ever want to replay. And that's not necessarily a bad thing, it put me in a state of depression and anxiety while playing it, one that didn't affect me outside of game, but one I don't look forward to feeling anytime soon. For those who liked the multiplayer, this could be welcome news for a more fluid experience as the PS3 matches hitched up at times because of so much going on.

@talksin You bought a new console early in its life cycle. They aren't trying to impress as much as build a foundation. The impressive games, ideas, updates will come 2-3 years down the line for both the PS4 and Xbox One. If you're expecting something to be mouth-droppingly amazing, I'd sell the console to someone and wait. There are plenty of amazing things in life that $ 400 can buy and not have to wait for... And if the PS3 and 360 were anything to go off of, the new consoles will have a loooong life cycle.

I'm less worried about Facebook fucking this up, than them going 2-3 months down the line, expecting much more than what has come out and then ditch the entire project. Facebook loves to throw millions at nothing and hope to find gold, Oculus is a slow moving train, going up hill, in the dark, on 50 year old rails. They're going at a snail's pace to make sure it works. Facebook on the other hand likes to see change nearly ever quarter and that's where I don't see this meshing very well. Whereas a company like Valve doesn't seem to give two shits about 'when' something gets done and more about the 'what' is getting done, Facebook seems a polar opposite. And as they should being a more traditional profit-based company. But let's face the facts, the possibility of Oculus pulling a profit margin in the first 5 years after release, is slim to none, unless something drastic changes to how we buy and use hardware peripherals.

Now there is definitely room for Facebook to do something special with Oculus but I see it being more service-based rather than hardware, and that may not pan out to well for us, the end consumer. (Conspiracy filled example inc) Think of a situation like this, you get your Oculus VR package home, you rip it open, connect it to your computer and then are told to register a serial code on a Facebook VR site / service. Ignoring how weird this is, you do so and are then told to link your Oculus set with your Facebook profile... Ok, getting weirder, and then after doing that, are greeted with a Facebook VR marketplace, sort of like Steam but only for games that support VR. Let's say you see a game you have on Steam, like Euro Truck Sim 2. You see that it fully supports your headset and so you load up Steam to play the game, start ETS2 and nothing happens on the headset. You check patches, you check your firmware, you check to make sure everything is working, still nothing doing. Then you do what 90% of us do when shit doesn't work, search Google to figure out what the fuck went wrong. Upon searching you find out that the new Rift retail version only supports games purchased on the Facebook VR store... And you can figure out the rest from there.

Now, the above is pure conspiracy, but it's not out of the realm of reason. Facebook is a company, one that has had many shady deals in the past and aren't afraid to do what they need to make something profitable. They're about the Social Media version of EA (done great things for the platform but are about as close you can get to the Evil Dr. Claw). I truly hope that they won't do this, but don't be surprised if this becomes the future of Oculus VR. At the end of the day, I'd keep an eye on Carmack and his reactions over the coming months. While he's said some stupid shit about PC gaming (like piracy was the reason he'd never make another PC game) he's one of the smartest guys we have a porthole to outside the company. If he jumps ship, especially after leaving id, then it's safe to say that we should be a bit worried, but if he sees steady seas ahead of him, then we might as well believe it.

For those wondering the video may, might, should, maybe, perhaps, was foretold, prophesized, chance of, if the planets align, small business owners agree... Top men will have it up tomm. As posted on Twitter:

'I don't know why it never went up, but hopefully it'll be up tomorrow! Sorry for the delay.'

@melting_window: Yeah the version up earlier this morning was 1:05:54 before it cut. They were having issues with the uploader earlier, so that's probably why. Seems like some of the quality versions may have been fine and some of them not. @bisonhero What version did you download? I was watching the High quality and it cut.

If this had any context what-so-ever, sure, if he could make it fit, go with it. But everything up to now has been shock value. Like No Russian in CoD... Oh my god, you're play a terrorist killing people in an airport, but it's for the greater good! And even that had more context than this massacre of a story does. Kojima has lost his touch, his insanity had some semblance of reasoning, but now he's doing shit just cause. That said... mechanics-wise, he's on a gold mine and Ground Zeroes was a fairly enjoyable and replayable experience, it's a bit of a shame the story seems to be jumping the shark, with laser beams, controlled by the system and being tortured by having a bomb shoved up his gills. I guess I'm slightly less offended in general and more sighing in disappointment.

Screw whatever Ken's 'new team' (comprised of the 15 lucky people who didn't get the boot) come up with. You don't fire your entire team just because you're bored. If this is 2K Games' doing, then things are much worse than we first imagined. This is the one dev that should never have fallen into this type of situation. I mean come on, we get amazing games and lose a dev, yet Gearbox manages to put out the cesspool scam of a game, Alien CM and they're still around. But hey guys, he's making a 'core game' for all those CoD fratboy fucks who didn't buy Bioshock. And it's with a small team, so we can be sorta-indie. And it's going to have a story and be replayable, that way we can sell you more shit. Seriously Ken, we can see through the bullshit. Stop lying on Twitter.

@forkboy: Speak for yourself, I'm hyped as shit to see them play through Demon Souls. I frankly can't believe this negativity. This community is better than this.

Mine has been pretty good to me so far. The biggest issues I've had are:

Games crash - While this may have been an issue for 360 and PS3 and certainly has happened on PC over the years, this is the first console I've had that crashes several times a week. And it seems to happen atleast once with every game I throw at it. Still, compared to how much I used it last month, the crashes were few but most definitely noticeable.

Video Recording Doesn't Always Work - It's supposed to record the last 15 minutes or so of gameplay, but sometimes it will randomly stop. It isn't a disk space issue, it just stops. This can be fixed by double tapping the share button before the thing you want to record, but 9 out of 10 times, the thing I wanted to record wasn't noticed until after it happened.

Friends Lists - As Jeff said, friends lists are hella broken. Most games break if you have more than 100-200 friends and none of them thus far support more than 500 for social features to work. If you manage to max out the friends list, it's quite an effort to whittle it down to a hundred. There's no filtering what-so-ever and no way to delete multiple friends at a time.

Controller Battery Life - This is a huge bummer if you're looking to game for 7-8+ hours at a time and don't have a USB port near by. The controller will typically last for 4-5 hours max and then need recharged (takes 30-45 mins).

Remote Play Is Far From Perfect - A huge reason I was buying a PS4 was to use my Vita as a controller when I wasn't able to be infront of the TV. Remote Play didn't solve this. While it seems cool at first, it's a real pain to be playing a game, have the screen spaz out and lose connection, only to find out the game didn't pause.

Bluray Functionality - They more or less completely changed the way the DS4 handles Bluray controls and even worst removed some completely. I'm not quite sure why they would do this, but I still use my PS3 to watch Blurays right now because of this.

Other than those small complaints, it's actually a really nice device and I look forward to seeing what they improve upon with the next 2-3 years.
