Can you look those up. Can you see them away from the game. I played Oblivion on the PC, 300 hours worth and what do I have to show for it... nothing but a memory.
Wow, that's really sad.  I'll bet you consider yourself a "hardcore" gamer, too.Real gamers remember when you couldn't even save your fucking game, let alone achievements.  How you like them apples?  :PEdit: that came off snarkier than I intended...but it's funny to me so I'll leave it ;) "
Not really, actually I don't consider myself anything. Just your typical guy who plays video games. I'm 44 years old so I know where you're coming from. I remember those days of yore, but I appreciate the present. I'm in no way an achievement whore, I just like having those memories on file somewhere other than my head. I was just thinking out loud... so sorry to offend. As for this game I want it, but alas my gaming budget says no. Wii Sports Resort will be getting my attention next. "
Haha, I take no offense.  I have no idea why I was so hostile in the response...just kind of snowballed, I guess.  I was going to delete it after I posted, but then I figured I would leave it in because I am sure that statement applies to *somebody* ;)

I like GTA4 but, honestly, I thought Chinatown Wars was more fun.  Also, probably because I play the PS3 port, but possibly because the game is just like this...the game chugs and has crappy framerate.  Going from Burnout: Paradise to GTA4 in a single play session is really, really sad.

Regarding people jumping on the guy that pointed out that there are good games on Wii:

He may be a fanboy, but so what?  He makes a valid point.  There are many fun games on Wii...probably more than most adults have the time to play.  If they aren't your cup of tea, why did you buy a Wii in the first place?  Did you think they secretly hid a cell processor in there?  Do you not know Nintendo?  Nintendo consoles are always *really* about the Nintendo franchises and Nintendo style, and little else.

I have a PS3, Wii, and DS.  I play all three.  I buy the fancy big budget PS3 games and enjoy those, and buy DS games and enjoy those, and buy Wii games and enjoy those.  I know what I like and I buy the games.

People can yell, "fanboy!" at the top of their lungs, but the truth is that they are trend-seeking sheep that pick on the Wii because it's the "cool" thing to do.  If they really didn't care about the Wii they would STFU and concern themselves with their system/games of choice.

I have a few, but some probably won't seem all that cool to the youngsters:

1) The end of Super Metroid
2) The beginning of Star Fox
3) Turning on Mario 64 for the first time
4) Seeing Vivec in Morrowind for the first time
4b) Entering the final dungeon in Morrowind
5) Some of the battles in Mechwarrior 3 made me flip out...what an awesome forgotten game
6) Encountering the regenerating creatures in RE4 for the first time

Wait a second....are people arguing about whether the 360 or PS3 controller is better?  Really?

Good lord, you people need a little more self-respect in life.  Try sex, it's pretty cool.

The combo specialist trophy is bullshit.  I am sure I am the 1,000,001st person to say so, but this Trophy is all kinds of broken.  I am sure it is possible to get, but it is possible in the loosest sense of the word.  I swear I have been through the list of 63 combos 3 times, doing *exactly* what everyone says needs to be done (not killing the enemy with a combo in order for it to count, not letting the combo be blocked, etc., killing the enemy when all the combos have been done, etc).  I suspect that there is some weird hiccup in the code, so that some combos don't register every time or something.

I can has patch, Ubisoft?
