Not sure why you're laughing, since Nintendo has only had one industry leading home console since the N64. I guess it depends on your definition of fail.

They're leading this generation, but did not lead the last one. Winning 1 out of 2 in a 3 player game is..failing?

From Mario Bros. to Super Mario 64, every game was more complex than the one before it.

But, as a previous poster mentioned, there is a fine, sometimes blurry, line between dumbing down and refining.

I think the difference between this site and Youtube for example, is that Google will listen to your copyright woes, and remove infringing content upon request. Megaupload seemed to deliberately not doing this, and that's probably illegal in some way.

I think, I'm not a lawyer.

No more sequels...what?

I get it that you don't want "more of the same" type of games, but I disagree on the point entirely. You think the world would have been better off had we not seen these more-of-the-same sequels? :

Skyrim

Mega Man 2

Uncharted 2

Arkham City

Portal 2

Mass Effect 2

Monkey Island 2

Half-Life 2

Doom 2

Final Fantasy 2

Some sequels are money grabs by the company, but by far the most of them is welcomed by the fans I feel. What about sequels to movies or books, that also just continue the story, without changing much of the formula, are they bad too?

Star Wars

Harry Potter

Indiana Jones

etc.

What I find annoying is my companion, who every time we get to Whiterun informs me that he has never been here before. And that's despite me bringing him there dozens of time already. If you're gonna make up a random line for someone, that probably will get heard a lot, don't make it something that doesn't make sense after the first time.

Ocarina of Time

Yeah, I'm the one guy on the planet who doesn't like this game. The previous games were all about freedom for me, freedom to explore and chose to do a side-quest if I wanted or search for extra hearts, bombs etc. Ocarina of Time put you on a scripted path with not much freedom, and in doing so, killed the soul of Zelda, and I'm sad to see more recent Zelda games going down the same path, most notably Twilight Princess.
