Kratos was actually Zeus's bastard son. It was a big reveal at the end of God of War 2. He was always a Demi-God and became a full God once he killed Ares.
@emersion: Dan and Jeff are watching the season set Blu-ray's so the music is going to be the same even after Freeza saga. The music only changes composers if they were watching on the original Blu-ray's. The season set rereleases had the music changed before release.
@alex: Oh, okay. Polygon isn't exactly the source that I would go to in order to get information on performance. Especially since they don't really show any examples of what they're claiming.
Digital Foundry is a lot more reliable, and while the game does have momentary dips, according to them that's the exception and not the rule.
According to Digital Foundry, the resolution mode of God of War is a near locked 30 FPS, except for the very rare dip. So I'm not sure who Abby was referring to with regards to the games performance.
@bezieh: Why? When Abby first joined, I was very excited because her personality seemed to mesh well with the crew. But her "performance" let's say for a lack of a better term, was pretty off putting in the final episode of last years GOTY and people responded to it.
I think it was a good learning experience and should lead to more productive conversations in any upcoming content. I still very much enjoy her on the show, and everyone makes mistakes, but like I said, she could use the criticism as a means to learn and come back stronger.
As long as people remember the golden rule Giant Bomb was built on, which was, don't be a jerk. If you have criticism, make sure it's constructive.
@Alex The second Assassin's Creed DLC is not considered canonical by Ubisoft. It's just a side story "what if" kind of deal. Only the first DLC is considered canonical.
@csl316: The part you're talking about comes from the Buu saga, which was Kai edited but direct to Blu-ray. Since it didn't air on Japanese TVs the toning down of blood wasn't necessary.
