My top 10 SNES games

My top 10 SNES games, or lot's of licensed games on The Super Nintendo.

List items

  • Never been a huge Star Wars fan but for some reason I loved the SNES releases, so much so that they get the top three spots.

  • More Star Wars, Empire was probably my favourite of the series.

  • And finally the third and last instalment of the bunch, more of the same in terms of action but this time as a proper Jedi.

  • Still one of my favourite games on any system, the platforming was fun and challenging and the monsters were awesome.

  • Lot's of Mario fun and adventure in one box, probably the best value for money on the SNES.

  • Sure Dark Souls can be tricky from time to time and you will die a lot but back on the SNES there was only one game that gave me that same punishing feeling - Alien 3

  • Disney brought out a whole catalogue of licensed games in the 90's, though most of them were mediocre at the best Aladdin was easily the best.

  • I've always loved the Castlevania series but IV made the biggest impression with it's improved combat system, ace score and lot's of exploring to be done.

  • Not as brutal as Mortal Kombat but getting those punches and kicks just right meant learning the proper combo's,

  • Easily my favourite beat-em up on any system ever, Mortal Kombat was a breath of fresh air. It was packed full of awesome moves that led to some of the most brutal ends, but better still I could actually button bash and win.. most times.
