@mikeinsc: I must agree, I'm in the same boat. I watch MOBA streams for pro-tips; not really for personalities. As much as I chuckle to see Brad curse and broken down from "Breaking Brad"; watching a 40 minute game of amateur DOTA2 isn't really my bag.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some Giantbomb and their content - but it seems like I'm only seeing stuff from Klepek. Once in awhile there's a quick-look or two. But then there's Bombin' in the AM, Spelunkin with Scoops(albeit recently), Worth Playing, and it's usually Klepek splitting the news stories with Navarro . Brad's slowly seeming like an amateur Dota2 twitch streamer and Navarro picks up like half of the reviews for the site. I do not want to seem harsh, cause I love 'em and they've gotten me through tough times. But I don't know.

I actually do remember the first time I listened to the bombcast. Had to be late '09 or early '10 - I was in NYC walking to the grocery store near 86th and 2nd looking for new gaming podcasts. I checked a bunch out at the time not impressed with really any of them. I stumbled across Giantbomb and saw this was Gerstmann's podcast. I didn't want to like it cause I thought Jeff was always a bit pompous. Fuck, was I wrong. I loved it almost immediately. Their voices were like honey, perfect and they had such chemistry and repertoire with each other. They could play off each others jokes for 10 minutes, I felt like I was kicking it with my friends. The first time I listened I was laughing my ass off in the grocery store aisles. They had some 20-30 minute spell on fast food - still trying to find that bombcast, has to be my favorite. <3

Fast-forward to now, they feel like actual friends. My fave podcast/ gaming site hands-down. I've listened to their podcasts when I've felt too stressed to sleep and they managed to take my mind off of my problems and help me have a good night sleep - MANY nights. Hearing about Ryan... Fuck. It feels like I should hear his voice tomorrow at some point and have to remind myself I'm not. Just, not able to process it. Already miss you Ryan - you were bigger than life. I guess the brightest flames really do burn out the fastest. </3

We gamers might be a fickle bunch. Condescending and dramatic. Boisterous and quiet. Overly optimistic and degradingly pessimistic. At times, more demanding than an self-entitled 3 year old. But today ladies and gents - we are brought here, united, under a single tragedy. Ryan Davis wouldn't want it any other way. And we should be reminded that as we stand united mourning his loss - he would mock all of us... Damn you, you funny lovable bastard.

*man tear*

Ryan... damn feels like I've lost family - I always wanted to buy you and the GB crew a round of drinks. I regret I never took the time to do so. You guys have helped me out of ruts that you never even knew - and I will live with this regret always. You will be sorely missed and never forgotten by all of us big guy...

Just curious what type of camera he was using and what suite he used. To get more in depth I was also wondering at the frames he recorded at; looked to be 24 fps - 30fps, but I'm not expert. Thanks!

I have been looking as well. Seems like Vinny has a secret hidden pop collection that is AMAZING.

If it makes you feel better Jeff, I'd drive with you to L.A.
