You need an access code to even register. But you can go there to stare pass screen? "
Hmm. I just typed in I-Want-Mag and it got me in. My lucky day? "
I tried that also and it was a no go :( "
You thought it would work? "

I got into the Home Beta, Killzone 2 Beta, MGO beta...

I am also part of the gamer advisory panel for Sony if that makes any difference but this MAG email seems to be just from the PSN.

Check the inbox of the email you use for PSN because MAG Public beta registration emails are out. You can register to recieve a beta invite...

It doesn't guarantee an invite, but still one step closer to playing the game. It comes with a code to allow you to register - the invites come out in waves and as long as you are registered you have a chance in receiving an invite in one of the waves.

Yeah I just played the demo... and was very impressed.

I came in thinking this was just gonna be some shitty History Channel type games, but it reminded me of Timesplitters like you said. It just has the interesting idea of travelling though all these different types of environments.

A few things I liked:
- The guns were refreshing to use because most games do not take place in the civil war. This game takes place all over, so there is a large variety of guns. Using the AR55 in the civil war felt great, and you had a good sense of power over everything compared to using the musket you had only moments previously.
- Although the story copies timespitters to some degree, I loved the random floating water blob that transports you back and forth through time. Using time travel is awesome.
-The audio of the guns is pretty sweet
-The enemies seem to go down realistically
-Having historical figures; red aura (good historical figures) and blue aura (enemy historical figures) for important people.
-I guess this may be why the graphics seem a bit dated, but the game is able to fit an amazing amount of characters on screen at a time. Charging with your side seems pretty epic, and you try to be careful which shots you take since it takes a while to reload.
-Reloading: the game has an interesting reload mechanic. You press R to reload, and you can wait for your soldier to reload and it shows on screen a bar that forms a circle when the reloading is finished. That's pretty standard, but it gives you the option if you time it right, to hit the fire button at a green spot where the bar will eventually meet... letting you reload in half the time. If you hit the fire button and the bar has not reached the green point, your gun will jam and it will take longer to reload. It's risky but pretty cool - kinda makes more sense with all the muskets and single shot weapons... works well.

Things I didn't like:
-Some of the graphic models seem a bit dated; not too bad though
- The tutorial tells you not to kill blue aura people. I think I might have as I was playing, but I never got any warning or any implication because I killed these people. I tried only shooting them in the leg, but they seemed to die anyway. Usually they were surrounded by other guys, so I never had the opportunity to use the chasers (weapon that incapacitates blue aura people)
-When you get the AR55 (modern machine gun) in the civil war, I was surprised that none of the other soldiers on your side commented on your gun. Like "Where the fuck did you get that from!?" Or when the time water bubbles appear, none of the other soldiers say anything about it.

I may think about buying this game since it was such a surprise. Something about actually playing the game is really fun... watching trailers doesn't do it justice. Try the demo...

Yup, because remember kids - the internet is for adults only! If you don't have a PhD, then get out of my house.

I really don't think you needed to point out grammar issues here. It was perfectly understandable what he's saying, so no reason for pointing out errors.

But yeah to the OP, I completely agree and thought about why there aren't more video previews considering they introduced that as a new feature - yet they never use it.

" The Beatles are the most over rated band EVER. I can't fathom why anyone would find most their songs enjoyable or listenable in any way, unless they're a stoned hippie from the 70s or something. "
OR they have great music and you are too isolated in what you listen to.
