About Me
Not really sure what I sould write here. Guess I'll start by saying that I basically grew up playing video games. At age 4 I can remember playing the NES at my babysiters house since there really wasn't any thing better to do (they didn't have any cool toys :P ). But yah my first game was either the Mario/ Duck Hunt game or Mega Man 2, so that's how my addiction started :D. My first system was a SNES I got for my 7th Birthday. From there I discoverd such games as Final Fantasy IV (my first RPG), Mega Man X, Super Mario World, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Well now I'm 22 and I've really branched out from there. I'm no longer a Nintendo fan boy, but instead am a fan of great games. I've worked in several video game stores and own quite a few systems (my favorite is either the SNES or PS2). My favorite typs of games would be RPG (mostly wester ones right now), Racing games (love Arcade typ ones the best like Burnout), Platformers, FPS, Old School Shooters like Ikaruga, and many more.

Well that's all I really have to say for now.

Killer Moon Rabits and More!

Gun Nac is a top down shooter were you are tasked with saving your planet from it's own plants, animals and inanimate objects. Each level has a theme, the first one being moon rabbits, the second one being gasoline containers and oil refineries, and the third is full of mermaids and battle ships. There are eight levels in all, and each and every one of them is just as bizarre as the one before it.

Game play is fairly straightforward. Shoot every thing before it shoots you. There are five different kinds of weapon power ups and four types of bombs that you can collect and use. The game is very liberal in giving out power ups, but the latter levels are all most impossible with out them. The sound and graphics are both really good for the NES, and the controls are tight and responsive.

All in all, I love this game for the pure craziness of it and the fun and engaging game play. If you haven't played Gun Nac you really should give it a try.

Great Action Adventure RPG

There are many great games on the NES, but few of them can still feel as up to date as Crystalis. Crystalis is an Action RPG, much like The Illusion of Gaia or The Secret of Mana. This game felt like it was ahead of its time a bit, wich may contribute to its lasting appeal. Though they may not look so great to day, the graphics are very good by NES standards. The gameplay is the high point of this game. Unlike most RPGs of the 8-bit and 16-bit days, Crystalis is full of action. You controle an unknown hero who must save the world after the Apocalypse in the mid 90's (hey, it's an old game). You fight much like you do in the first Zelda, but you can leavel up and become more powerful like in a RPG. Also you find 4 differant elemental swords on your journey that help you out. Many of the enemy's have a weakness to at least one of these swords, and all of them can be powered up to shoot a blast of energy that resembles the weapons element. Also each of these swords can be upgraded twice, making them more effective in combat. Besides the swords you can also gain assorted magics and items that are useful both in and out of combat. All in all, Crystalis is a game any NES fan must play.

Especially don't try to compare this to Gamespot when you type in beta.gamespot.com and then you look at the profile pages...

I'll try not to compare them too much, it is fun to edit stuff here. I think i'll use this site when nothing is going on over at GS.

I try not to compare this site to GameSpot, honestly. They do their thing there and we do our thing here. The forums for each one may indicate otherwise, but I'm personally fine with both since they serve different purposes. Still, what matters most is that a fun time is to be had and hopefully this site is managing to do just that.
