We're barely under three months away from the eighth annual Penny Arcade Expo, and today it is officially sold out. No more tickets. Three Day passes sold out two weeks ago. Single day passes lingered a little longer with Sunday being the final day to sell out completely. That's a complete sell out less than seven weeks after going on sale and after they increased the number available by 10% over last year. And it's also after PAX East 2011 was the highest attended PAX in history. One would think that having an east coast show would alleviate some of the attendance at the west coast show, but clearly that's not the case.
So, apologies to those who thought they might go and didn't buy tickets yet, but who's gonna be there this year?
@SMTDante89: Yeah, I've been to several theater concerts at small venues in the last several years. And the concerts at PAX are generally a few thousand people strong. But, that's different from 20,000 people in an arena or stadium, which is what I'm assuming your referring to with "full blown concert."
What is the best E3 press conference to watch today? Obviously the Konami 2010 conference was spectacular in many ways, but what else?
As somewhat of an E3 veteran, the first thing that comes to mind is Nintendo's E3 2004 showing and the announcement of Twilight Princess. The reaction of the audience is still pretty amazing. Especially the "Oh my god! Holy shit!" guy that you can hear.
