Did anyone else hear that ex-cop mention how those two kids (whose parents were murdered) wore masks? Might be a mis-lead, but strange to mention it, possible link to animal masked people?

Bloodborne is the best game on PS4. Just play that.

I don't enjoy those games, sadly. They fascinate me, and I always watch EpicNameBro's videos on them, but find them too stressful and Bloodborne especially didn't strike a chord visually, something about it feels constrained/restricted....small?

Sorry if I wasn't clear guys, I'm all clued up as to which games are good (Bloodborne et al.), it's just that I want to play the two listed more than other stuff. Haven't played more than a couple of hours of The Witcher 2, though I know everything that I need to for the story, and have played the previous Arkham games (with the exception of Origins).

Count me in! On PC at the moment (steam ID is Rambolambo1423) but should also be getting a PS4 sometime this week. If anyone is looking for a marauding defender (read: kamikaze-esque opportunism from my own half), send me request on steam to practice :)

(I'm on GMT/UK time)

So here is a new one- I went to play the MKX Predator DLC trailer and found that the video was not only unavailable, but also had a graphic of Batman saying nope.

Other videos work fine and this is the first I've seen the image.

I'm using Chrome as my browser. Thanks!

Same problem for me, tried disabling Adblock and adding the filter mentioned above, but no luck :(

I was listening to a podcast about Gravity Rush's (or Daze's) music, and two things came back to me; how fun it was to zoom around collecting the XP orbs and just chill and have fun with the powers; and secondly, how not fun it was using those same mechanics in boss battles/with a time limit. I then realised that I'm not sure I've ever been just completely in the zone and had zen-like attunement with a game's traversal mechanics.

Sunset Overdrive? Loved going around for collectibles, but when sh*t hit the fan, I'd either grind back and forth on the same rail whilst shooting, or spamming the ground pound + boost combo.

Same with Infamous and Crackdown, great fun getting the collectibles, but once combat starts I'd just revert to the most economical movement, not really jamming with my full skill-set and unable to realise my dreams of a constantly moving figure of death and destruction

So have you ever just been at one with a game's traversal mechanics, in all situations, and wreaked kinetic havoc?

People seem to be giving lots of sensible answers with thought-out reasons. Just for the sake of balance then, I'll throw in heavy dose of bias - P4G is much more memorable than Dragon Age. And betterer.

Ignoring the dreaded 'backlog', do you ever go stretches without having something to play? I've played pretty much all of the year's big releases, but during the past two years I've been finding it harder and harder to find something I want to play, despite still having the desire to get into something.

So are there ever times when you go for a while without finding something you want to play? And if so, is there anything you do to speed up the process?

Agreed, I played exactly like a mage would and only used the blade on bosses/dragons, the rest of the time it was great casting spells and having the damage from them feed into making me practically invulnerable.

Also, on a sidenote - how are people spending so much time in this game?! I keep seeing figures of 80 hours plus being quoted. I did a fair few sidequests and all the dragons and finished with about 35 hours playtime. This isn't a brag or a bash against those who are playing for much longer, I'm just genuinely baffled how you're managing to eke out such longevity from the game.

Rushing through this game in 35 hours seems like a poor way to experience it. You can't have possibly done everything worthwhile and I'd wager you missed a lot of conversations and left a lot unexplored.

As for how someone could spend 80+ hours in the game, I'm doing every single thing in the game: talking to everyone I come across, revealing every square each of the map for every region, and simply doing everything there is to do. I am at about 81 hours and I still have a ton more to do in several regions, and judging by the trophies I have 2 major story missions left (next objective is to go to the arbor wilds). I expect to be well in the 100-120 hour range by the time I finish.

I definitely wouldn't say that I rushed through the game at all, and like I said, I did a good number of the sidequests. Almost all of the ones that had even a hint of story about them in fact, though I was in no way interested in the shard collectathons or the plethora of quests that would have been more suited to an MMO style grind. Perhaps others like yourself have been drawn more into the world than I was, but I had the same problem that I have with all Bioware games; whilst the story is interesting, it and the writing always feel too sterilized/clinical, not bad but always strangely lacking in genuine emotion, something slightly off that I can never quite put my finger on.
