The best way I've ever heard Event Horizon described is that it's the kind of movie that's smart enough to cut to an anatomical display as a character is being eviscerated off-screen, but dumb enough that a character actually says "it's a dimension of pure eeeevil" without a hint of irony.
Friendly reminder that Yajirobi is a stone cold psychopathic motherfucker.
In the King Piccolo Saga in classic Dragon Ball, Yajirobi fought one of Piccolo's henchmen, a huge dragon guy named Cymbal (his brothers were all named after musical instruments, an early example of Toriyama's love of silly theme names). Yajirobi chopped the dude in half, but didn't stop there: He gathered up Cymbal's carcass and then fucking roasted him on a spit and ate him.
Keep in mind that while Cymbal and his bros weren't human, they were still clearly sentient and later on they were even retconned into being "Mutant Namekians". Yajirobi is about as close to a cannibal as you can be without actually being one. In other words, he's a literal ass-eating samurai.
I live right near the mall where season 3 was shot. It's pretty average sized as far as malls go, and has been largely empty for the last 7 or 8 years. I think there are only 2 large department stores of the original 5 left, with maybe a dozen stores (out of 50+) still open in the mall proper.
A few years ago they found the body of a young woman in the back of an empty food court store. She was discovered during a routine maintenance check, and had apparently been decomposing there for a couple weeks. This was during what would normally be prime holiday shopping season, but she had gone unnoticed because there was so little activity in the surrounding vacant store spaces.
This thing is getting utterly *savaged* on Steam. I can't remember when or if a game from a major publisher has run into such a terrible reception so soon after launch ("Very Negative", 17% positive reviews in only 10 days).
I got Star Gladiator on PS1 for Christmas '96 and I'm with Jeff, I still think of Kappah whenever the Twitch Kappa is brought up, as well as just when I see the little face emote in Twitch chat. More specifically what I think of is the "KAPPAH KAPPAH KAPPAH" sound clip that plays when he does his super.
