Fallout 3... & Its Good Damn Brightness Issues!

Ok If you guys have played Fallout 3 for a decent amount of hours on the default settings, then you will notice that night time totally sucks ass!

Because you cant see a damn thing! YES!
This also goes for other dark places in game, like the other vaults. And from my discovery of watching Fallout videos on The Tube most of the screens of the video at night looks completly different, like it is way over saturated.  So I went into my settings to see if i could change the video display to something more visable.

All I saw was "Brightness" and" "Menu Tranceparancy".....No contrast, no colour, or sharpness...Just god damn brightness!
So I fiddle around with the brightness and I either get one that makes good atmosphere but bad visablity especialy at night, or an over staturated, bright but visable setting that makes the darkness parts alright I guess.

Come to think of it..I had the same damn problem in Bioshock and Oblivion in dungeons. So tell me how you dealt with this and what settings you used. Cheers

I think nighttime and places where there are no lights are supposed to be dark. But if its bothering you that much maybe it's your tv settings not the game settings.

Yeah, night time sucks. I would have loved a Night Vision perk... maybe in Broken Steel?

Yeah, the flashlight in Fallout 3 is pretty useless.

Youre monitor/tv must be crappy. Because that used to happen with my old monitor, any dark places would be too dark and not show much detail. So I just got a new monitor, it all looks better now.

Yeah, but without that light it's pitch black... I can see why you were having issues.

I found it to be useful in FPS mode, 3rd person it's a ring of light around your feet :3
Edit: Indoors that is.

Yeah, maybe it's your TV. The TV in our living room, for some unknown reason, is very dark. I remember watching Cloverfield in my room, where the brightness was fine, then later watching it with my parents in the living room. On the living room TV, it was so dark, you really couldn't make out most of the things and it kinda ruined the movie. I actually turned the brightness on that TV as high as it would go, and still it was significantly darker than the TV in my room.
